fantastic machine, i have grown up with one of these tractors so hearing its engine is like music to my ears. our one has had a hard life but it still starts every time and does the job well !

Thanks Dan, yes I will do one about the Massey 5445 when I get a bit of time. Very reliable tractor, I'll try and get a video up in the next week for you.

Great video how often do the axles need to be greased and how do can you tell its Hs grease and not the normal grease
@onlygazza5 жыл бұрын
I just buy the high temp grease off eBay it’s great stuff. It’s a twat if a job greasing all the joints underneath but do it as often as you can cos it will make the prop shaft last for ages, I’ve never had a prob with them.

155-65 gearbox problems if thrashed.

I'm thinking of buying one of these. Are they troublesome?
@onlygazza Жыл бұрын
They can be, make sure you buy one that’s been looked after. Mostly electric stuff behind the cab and gearbox. As I say in these vids check out the gearbox in every gear and power shifting if you have any doubts leave it there cos it can cost thousands to fix the gearbox. If you get a good one there is nothing like it up to modern day stuff driving on the road cos I know a guy that’s bought a new new Holland and recons it’s Guttless on the road compared to his old fastrac and a lot less comfortable

Is this similar to the 135 selectomatic
@onlygazza6 жыл бұрын
+mookett yes it is but your 135 may well be the faster model cos it was older, 50mph. The project I'm doing in another vid called the fastertrax is a burnt out 125 selectomatic.

is it possible to attach a truck trailor on this kind of tractors?
@onlygazza3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can either weld a trailer drawbar onto the lorry trailer or use a “ dolly “ it’s a drawbar attached to a set of wheels with an attachment the very same as a lorry has, you can then use a standard Arctic lorry trailer
@trimerista3 жыл бұрын
@@onlygazzais it possible to buy or order standard coupling on tractor for trailer.... as same on truck, and also to be street legal ?
@onlygazza3 жыл бұрын
@@trimerista yes it’s called an arctic dolly, this then attaches to your standard Fastrac drawbar
@trimerista3 жыл бұрын
@@onlygazza I understand what you suggest, but I thought these type of tractors are designed for those types of trailers, like trucks on dirt... What is the main advantage of that kind of tractor, better stability on the road and slopes?
@onlygazza3 жыл бұрын
@@trimerista you can do all the other usual tractor stuff in the field and then travel in the road fast comfortably with a trailer behind. The tractors during the early 90s could only travel at 15 to 20 mph and when the Fastrac came out originally it could do 50 to 60mph, so it was really high tech technology back then. Even now mine will go as fast as any new tractor on the market and if you buy some of Jcb the one offs they would travel at 60mph all day long.

Is there air brakes in this tractor or what are the air cylinders for?
@onlygazza8 жыл бұрын
Yes there are air brakes and various other functions are controlled by air, air assisted clutch pedal, air seat, air on the range changes. Never had a problem with the system. I think if you travel over 50k in the uk you need to have air brakes on trailers under uk regs.
@shanebyrne64248 жыл бұрын
+onlygazza thanks,what speed does your jcb go? Im interested in buying one so wanting to find out more 👍
@onlygazza8 жыл бұрын
it will go 65k but I've found when driving at 1900 to 2000 revs it cruses along at around 35 to 38 mph. it will rev to 2200 because thats the 1000 pto speed, but i mainly keep it at 2000rpm.
@shanebyrne64248 жыл бұрын
+onlygazza aye fast machine so, what would she be like on diesel? And would it be a hard job to put a straight pipe up the side of the cab rather than the middle of the bonnet?
@adjustablehammer37493 жыл бұрын
That jcb grease is just rebranded over priced normal grease with a dye in it they do the same with all the oils antifreeze ect ect
