Onn Tablet 2022: Black Screen? Won't Turn On? Easy Fixes!

I show you how to fix a 2022 8" Onn Surf Tablet 3rd Gen but should be similar to other models as well that has a black screen even though you know the tablet is on. If you tried every step at least 7 times I'm gonna guess at least 70% of you should have a fixed tablet. If this worked for you plz Like and comment which step worked for you so others can see. We tried all of the steps and finally got a glimmer of hope doing the massage, when it flickered the onn screen. Then the banging did the trick. We had to do this a couple of times. After the second time it lasted long enough to save all of my daughters pictures, stories, and drawings of her beloved cat, Simon, who passed away a short while ago. These files were priceless!! After the second time, we were careful to keep the tablet in the exact same position - I held it firm while she copied the files. Thank you so much!!

Thank you! The massage worked for mine, i massaged front and the screen would come and go and then I massaged the back and it worked. It does blink here and there so not completely fixed but did the job!

I did all the things that he said, specialty 😅 the part that pressed the screen, when I did it, suddenly the screen turned on and it worked, thank you. 🎉❤

Thank you! First one worked for me. I don't know what happened with mine, it's only a month old and I only use it for banking stuff. Wifi wouldn't turn on. I tried to reboot it, then just got the black screen. Held the button, nothing. I ended up holding it for about a minute before it finally showed the onn logo. Knew I should've just paid the extra 40 bucks and gotten the lenovo.

They have a flat ribbon that has 3 contact points on a flat surface, stupid design. I took mine apart and under the ribbon placed a piece of double sided thin foam tape to give the contact points pressure and the screen works great, and it never flickered again my 5 year old thinks I'm her hero now.😊

Mine came on when I tried method #3, however this time I held the power button a lot longer than I did with the first 2 attempted methods, so it's possible that's what made the difference
