2 жыл бұрынThe 500 Prototype Bayonets were sent to Camp Lejeune and from what I can find on to Afghanistan. There isn't much information out there about these and I'd like to learn more about them and possibly help someone else thats looking for the same information since there weren't any videos on KZfaq about these rare bayonets. Iv been in the Corps 8 years and iv never seen a prototype but that would be awesome to have. I love my okc3s. Thanks for sharing.

The 6th Marine Infantry Regiment were the ones that were issued these 1st fielded prototype bayonets from what I've read.

We turned in our M7 Bayonets and were issued the OKC 3S in 2003 before the invasion. All training done in 2002 was with M7 Bayonets. I was part of RCT-1 in the 1st MARDIV invasion force and participated in Task Force Tripoli, from Baghdad to Tikrit. I forget exactly when we did the switch but for sure by February of 2003 while doing Force Protection in Camp Commando (Kuwait) as we waited for all the participating units to arrive and stage before we were relieved early March to rejoin with the rest of our Battalion. By then everyone had OKC 3S Bayonets.

ive seen some of the prototype with Lxx on them some have numbers some dont/i read they made 500 that were used for training in the states then 500 more sent over seas/if you find out the truth let me know thanks

No because it was designed by the marine corps per their specifications

The closest you would get would be the shrade bayonet or the ontario sp6 fighter
