Why The INFJ Is Rarely Wrong. People can oppose and contradict an INFJ’s views as long as they want, but nothing changes the truth- that INFJs are often correct. Their accuracy annoys some people and impresses some. And people ask, “How come this man is always right?” Here are ten reasons why.
If there is one person who could stand in the right despite being persuaded by the majority, it is no other than the INFJ. As an INFJ, do people also underestimate your accuracy? How do you feel about that?
00:00 INTRO
00:22 10 They are not delusional.
01:35 09 They collect people’s opinions and rationalize them before creating their own.
02:30 08 They dive into their spirituality for wisdom.
03:36 07 They have access to their collective knowledge.
04:25 06 They don’t speak when they aren’t sure of the topic.
05:34 05 They acknowledge the general truth.
06:38 04 They invest in self-awareness.
07:30 03 They know the right words to say.
08:30 02 They don’t distort their mindset just to be likable.
09:20 01 They can easily dive into their own unconscious and others’ unconscious motives.

Sounds like a planned ad hominem trap against anybody that questions you. If you are always correct would that be necessary? I enjoy having my intuition questioned, it allows me to reflect and delve deeper into my beliefs. I guess that’s the difference between an infj and an intj.
@tyc6268
@tyc6268 3 жыл бұрын
@@sojourneroftheland I didn’t say the desire to debate is exclusively an intj trait, though to be fair I also didn’t say it wasn’t. 😉 From my perspective intjs enjoy picking apart their own intuitive visions more so than their infj cousins, they are a lot more critical of their intuition which in my opinion is due to their lack of emotional attachment to said vision. We see our intuition as the culmination of our best ability to distinguish truth from mistruth, so if someone has a fact that changes the way we perceive truth we welcome it, because it is in no way an attack on our character and is never perceived that way. Whereas an infjs Vision tends to be a lot more personal. (In my opinion) According to Carl Jung every individual is an exception to the rule, I myself enjoy the field of psychology quite a bit so to assume that just because I’m an intj I don’t have intuitions about people is misguided. Many intjs delve into psychology due to their desire to better understand themselves (fi) and consequently learn a lot more about others than they were prepared for. I think that intuitions about someone and their intentions can most definitely be up for debate. For example, a KZfaqr filming himself helping a homeless person can be perceived in many ways, one might see it as an act of selflessness whereas another might see it as a ploy to make money via KZfaq views. We both observed the same action but can have vastly different predictions as to what that action represents, and what can be predicted about said individual based on that action.
@tyc6268
@tyc6268 3 жыл бұрын
@@sojourneroftheland I believe the mbti types act more as a guide rather than a rule, after all every cognitive function exists within every individual, so every individual is certainly capable of practicing any one of the cognitive functions, their predisposition might lean towards what would be expected of them based on their mbti but they still have the conscious ability to choose how they want to react in most situations. stressful situations will actually bring out these subconscious functions whether we like it or not (shadow functions). I think a winky face can be used in many different situations to mean many different things, but read into however you’d like. 😉 I would immediately assume that they were doing it for money because of the fact that they are filming themself doing it and posting it online, as apposed to the many many other people that help others and don’t film it. They could definitely also be doing it because they like helping people but their main motivation for taking action is to get attention. I wouldn’t bother reading too deeply into their body language as I don’t know them individually and understand that body language is very individualistic and wouldn’t invest that much brain power in creating a profile of their individual body language unless for some reason I had to, (I’ve read books on body language and am aware of tells) but why bother when the answer is made so readily apparent by information that’s easier to obtain. I never said I’d change your mind, only that hunches and intuitions about people’s motives can be debated, since multiple perspectives exist on the subject. A debate is after all just a discussion about opposing views, And I do appreciate your apposing view. Yes things are easier to debate as there is most likely a definite right or wrong answer, interpretations of the facts is normally where debates on things get challenging. Just as interpretations of Carl jungs insights on cognitive functions is what started this one. Pseudoscience is much harder to debate as we’re not really sure how true it even is. I do like your more human way of communicating about these subjects, it creates the perception that we’re working together to uncover new perspectives, which should after all be the goal of any good debate. 👍

@@sojourneroftheland I understand how cognitive functions work to create our perspective, it’s more of a spectrum than a rule though, that’s all I’m saying. Yes I’ve read comments and quotes by intjs and they resonated with me but so have comments by infjs, and intps for that matter. Just because someone got “infj” on a personality test doesn’t mean they never use or are incapable of using ne, or fi, or te, or si. Carl Jung the man that created these terms said so himself. It was actually kathrine Briggs and her daughter that used this information to create the “mbti personality types”. If you had a relatively stressful childhood you might actually have (reluctantly) developed a shadow function more than a regular one, it’s all very individualistic. My choice is by looking at the situation from their perspective, what was their plan? How did their plan come about? Were they wondering how to make a successful KZfaq video and then thought of helping someone? Or were they walking down the street with a camera man when they happened apon someone in need of help, and then thought “what if we made this into a KZfaq video right now?” Yes they can most definitely also be trying to inspire altruism through example but still what was the original motivation? I can read body language effortlessly too, though it didn’t come to me naturally, I had to read about it (te). Imagine 300 pages of comments just like the one you made about tells, written by an ex FBI agent thats job was reading body language. The part that’s mentally draining is choosing to remember information about an individual rather than learning about something I can make use of, if I care about the individual I’ll have an in depth profile of everything I know about them that I build on and adapt as time goes on. But for anybody else It’s simply not a good strategy for achieving goals. Isn’t everything after all just a persistent illusion? I’m not going to tell you to do exactly what the original comment told you not to. That would be breaking the rules. 😉 until we meet again, it’s been a pleasure. 👍

Bit of a grey area. Even though I'm an INFJ I can be wrong, and often. In fact I said to my oldest nephew a while back that I'm wrong so often it makes a pleasant change to be right. That said, I'm not afraid to be wrong, nor do I fear making mistakes (and yes, I have seen people who are afraid of that, usually because in their past they've been mercilessly criticized and belittled whenever they made one), because I know I will. To borrow from Billy Joel, I've made mistakes, I'm going to make more mistakes. That's the whole point of his song You're Only Human. I sometimes tell people: "Show me the man who says he never makes a mistake and I'll show you a liar." So don't worry about mistakes. They're proof you're trying.

These are facts, especially being able to tell other people's conscious motives before they even recognize it. We do a whole of introspection. Sometimes it drives us insane how much we check and evaluate ourselves before someone else could even say anything. And of they do say something we are well aware of it before hand and have already been hard on ourselves. Although we try to be easy on others and understanding of them so we dont hurt anyones feelings, yet at the same time we xan be brutally honest only for the others highest good. People do underestimate our accuracy, but we are most of the time correct and really do only speak on subjects we are experienced in or have mastered. We are highly empathetic and absorb others emotions and negativity fairly quick and usually have to go into hibernation or hermit mode to clear it all out. We are unconsciously observant and sometimes have a photographic memory. Our intuition cannot be matched and is almost always on point. Our minds are constantly in overdrive and so is our inner critic. We might come across as arrogant at times but within we are truly humble and just confidant in our views. Our inner compass is extremely accurate and we can usually see beyond the lies and see the fakers, the haters, the jealous, etc....and again we always pick up on others unconscious motives

This is spot on. I'd like to add that even though I agree with we seem to always have the right words to say in a situation - coming up with those words can be quite difficult when a truth needs to be said that has a 99% chance of hurting the other person. I will only coddle someone's feelings until it begins to compromise the truth. That's usually a short leash in my experience... Because anyone who needs coddling obviously needs to work on themselves more than I need to say things in a way that won't hurt their feelings.

Thank you for excellent assessment and well presented summary. Most what you said is correct, we use our own compass & standard to live authentically. This may be weird to most people who loved join the crowd. But we always think long term rather than short term. If we already lost all, the trust had broken (not repairable), why should we allow the same type of people will enter to our life again? We already trauma, could not build the trust back even though thru counseling. It is not because we look down on them at all. People misterpretation or misjudging our good and pure intention. We forgave them, but it does not mean we trust them back. If we still do not know to get up back after all the chaos they did ( no resources, clear & promising direction & knowledge to do new thing, job, environment, no knowledge new rule, overwhelmed with all chaos & burden on our plate ), why should we allow them to create a new one again? People do not change because this is what they believe it is ok ruining other people life. It because they do not respect us as human being like them. We also love to have success, peaceful, healthy life, make our life easier. It is like their life. Why they cut us off without asking or respecting our rights? We love to enjoy luxury, having our dream come true. We are not different with them. But we won't enjoy the stuff or position we gain thru manipulation, deceitful, abusive and destroying others. If we do not like what others do unto us, then we won't do it unto others. Everything we have using improper way, it will be gone sooner or later. You can see Psalm 69, 72

I'm not evil for saying the truth outloud... he's a narcissist. I'm the empath. Twenty years later I'm trying to get out. Wish me luck. Haha lol. I'm still alive!

I wonder I'd most INFJs have such sincere hearts that God finds us and chooses us. As a true believer I mean. None of these false or fake religions. From the bible..straight up.

I have long heard the expression "brutal honesty." What makes honesty brutal has everything to do with transparency-- allowing for truth to even become available. I often refer to the Biblical Corinthians I passage which describes our capacity to envision [ 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. ] Honesty shatters delusion-- does that make it brutal (or the delusion "brittle"?) Lies, and the perpetuation of such, lead down untold rabbit holes. In that state of mind, one can only see and process what one already believes, then what becomes "Real-ity" when a moment may require abandoning the lies.

God if only I weren't so disturbingly sarcastic and bizzare 24/7... people tend to take you less serious ALREADY!! (Don't blame em, I regret nothing xD) Honestly, when in doubt or conflict starts to arise? Dark humor throws a WHOLE room off. They'll be so focused on being startled eventually it can really shape a room and sometimes bond friends closer...

Almost all videos describe INFJ as someone who is always good and right. But recently I Knew one that was used to think depply about everything, however, all his conclusions was controversials! He defends that interacial marriages are wrong (and he argues depply about it); he defends that things must follow its nature, so industrialized medication are not confiable; he also says that mans must be intellectually superior to womans... Than it's clear that someone can think depply and not be necessarialy right about everything ;)

My closest friends have all come to me over the years and told me that im the reason theyre the men they are today. 20 years later its good to get some value. However as i said to them . I only ever serve myself and others by being as honest and authentic as i can be . Even if it mean shredding the fabric of their percieved realities with the truth . It does no good to let people live lies for the sake of spared feelings . But im a 684 enneagram lie exterminator type infj . So thats my thing .. the truth

The rare occasion when they come across someone who really sees the INFJ clearly and does not judge them. Someone that really gets you is rare for an INFJ. It can be terrifying because it means the INFJ will have greatly reduced defenses when it comes to dealing with this person. Regardless of the INFJs attraction/non attraction this person... that INFJ might just run! .... if they like you, they usually come back though. A person who shows genuine patience and faith in the INFJ and confidence to allow space if requested is the best possible strategy if you hope to undo an INFJ fleeing.

@@rebeccafaith1 Exactly, in my experience as an INFJ male, those that seem to allow me to let my guard down and understand me best are ENFJ females, sadly the are rare second only to us. I discuss this on my channel.

*Combinations of these.* The truth and moral standarts are almost "deadly" important to INFJs. I can get very angry, when someone is having these traits and be like "it's nothing". Basically those things which also can annoy them. *◾Lies* *◾Shading* *◾Manipulation* *◾Being fake* (even for getting your love) *◾Being disrespectful* *◾Being selfish* *◾Being arrogant, egoistic* *◾Cheating on them* *◾Trying to avoid being responsible for own bad acts* *◾Blaming them for something, what is not true* *◾Being cruel - sadistic - unnecesary mean* *◾Saying that they don't understand anything* (like it happened to John Snow - he's INFJ), but truth is INFJs understand almost anyone/anything yet just few people truly understands them

Here's an interesting Fact about spiritual stuff, there are beings on our planet rn that have existed for a terribly long time and they have knowledge they could teach us, imagine what the demons and angels, the ghosts, think of all that knowledge and if we were more spiritual we might be able to learn that knowledge over time with practice and patience, imagine our potential

Globally we are moving from ourecreadon, which has its limitations, to intuition. Intuition is God or the Universe speaking directly to you. Most people can’t differentiate between their mind and intuition. It can take years to realize who is speaking to you. Once you can recognize pure intuition, life gets immeasurably easier. So, run decisions by your heart/intuition first, then mind, but let yr heart/intuition make the final decision.
