Onyx kicked science on the art form of being an MC in the books *HOW TO RAP* and *HOW TO RAP 2*... Here is a quote they give in it: ''I look back in my rap books right now and I’ll look at the old “Throw Ya Gunz” rhymes and “Slam” rhymes and my books are totally different from the records that come out. You could write a record and then change it, like you’ll record it and then you’ll change certain things about the record. I like to go in the studio and hear it, and if I don’t like it, I change it up."

That shot from 2:09 - 2:11 is one of the hardest shots captured in a hip-hop music video. Had that scene in my head for years after the first time I watched this video.

My older bro's homey caused a shootout at a club when this came on. I over heard them talking about it when I was 7 years old in 93'. He said yo was a huge Onyx fanatic. Dressed and looked like them. Said homey slowly pointed his pistol at somebody's head and said, "Throw ya f*ckin' guns in the air", and fired. Dude luckily ducked it, but a big shootout ensued in the parking lot as a result.

This band read maybe the agrressivest rap in the 90's. For us, our friends, young and pour students, our half-criminal life , in 97-2000 in Russia, more passed this singing music, my respect for these guys from Onyx.
