Every day a beautiful day, that's what you often hear at Kinderwoud. And that is because it is our mission.
We offer childcare to children aged 0 to 13, and we believe that children's development is most important. In developing children, we use the most up-to-date scientific insights. From that scientific understanding, we know that in the first 6 years of life, 80 per cent of brain connections are made. This is incredibly important to know, because if you offer a rich supply then, you are also offering a lot in child brain development.
And unfortunately, the reverse is also true. If language is not offered in a person's first six years of life, a person does not learn language. So that highlights how important it is and how crucial it is to provide rich developmental opportunities for children.
So up-to-date knowledge is incredibly important. That is why we are committed to continuously increasing the knowledge, talents and skills of our staff. We are a learning organisation and support our staff in their profession so that they can be the expert cooperation partner for parents, municipalities and education.
Children learn an awful lot from playing with each other and it is our role to guide them in this as optimally as possible. And we do this with four themes: movement, music, playful learning and nutrition. Because we know that these themes are incredibly important for children's brain development.
Because everything we offer children at a young age is an enrichment for the rest of their lives. And the basis lies in security, with an eye for the child's individuality. Because a child can only develop properly the moment a child feels safe and secure in our care. We find it important that every child is truly seen.
For us, it is a great day when the children have had a great day. When we have good contact with the parents. When our staff are happy and feel appreciated. And when our care is professional and of high quality. Because that way we can offer children optimal development opportunities.
