How to Make Grandma's Textured Lap Blanket in any size, with any yarn and hook combination.
You can make this easy textured blanket in any size, with any yarn and hook combination.
♥ Chain to the width blanket you want to make, with your chosen yarn and hook.
♥ Add 2 extra inches of chain stitches.
♥ Follow Row 1 of my pattern below and stop when the blanket you have is the width you wanted.
♥ Ignore those extra chain stitches for now.
♥ Follow R2 and the repeat rows of the pattern.
♥ Stop when your blanket is the length you want it to be.

♥ Add a simple edging: R1: single crochet in each stitch and row end and make 3 sc in each corner, R2: 1 sc in each st around, 3 sc in the corners.

Greetings Oombawka! Thank you so much for this EXCELLENT tutorial!!! I have been looking (literally years) for the perfect blanket pattern for me. I work full time, so it takes me FOREVER to finish projects. This pattern is excellent for a lovely texture and an advanced finish. I'd like to print up the directions but 22 pages is too much. Is there a more succinct version?

If you are printing from my website tap the printer button in the post. It opens printfriendly and you can click to remove images, text and change the size of you font. You can remove anything you don't need/want before you print it. Hope this helps!
