From Ardrossan to the Allianz Arena and everything in between, Billy Gilmour has a tale or two to tell.
This summer the 22-year-old and his Scotland team-mates will carry the hopes of a nation when they kick off UEFA EURO 2024 against hosts Germany in one of world football’s most iconic stadiums.
Through all the hype and hysteria, he’s maintained a steely focus. Combined with a potent combination of tenacity and honed technique, it’s taken him a long way.

Billy Gilmour simply doesn’t give the ball away, always retains possession. If Billy Gilmour was Brazilian 🇧🇷 or Argentinian 🇦🇷 there would be no end to the hype of him, but because he’s Scottish he doesn’t get anywhere near the credit he deserves! Let’s hope he can perform with Scotland at the Euro’s! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🔥

I don’t care if they play with rangers with us at Celtic with st mirren, Bayern , Chelsea or any other team I always want to see young Scottish talent do well and Billy has done so well and continues to,fact is a lot of players like Billy have left Celtic and rangers and went down south and they’ve got lost in the amount of players there is but he’s done really well to just keep his head down and get on with his football

Clarke will stick to what has got us there without a doubt. I don't think McGregor is this world class player but when he's missing from Celtic you see how much they rely on him just to keep everything ticking over smoothly.

Wee Billy is from Adrossan, just down the road from my home town Irvine. Although I heard he was born in Irvine. He has been so composed and calm in vital games against Spain at home and England and Norway away.

More than likely. I am only two or three years older than him, from Ardrossan and was born in Ayrshire Central. Most people who are from Ardrossan and 20+ are as it was at the time the nearest maternity ward to us.

Used to play with him when we were young. Everyone knew he would be special, never forget him flicking it up and over head kicking it into the back of the net and walking away as if it was easy. Go on billy mate you’ve smashed it 💪🏻

Billy is a future Scotland captain. As a Brighton season ticket holder I see the way he organises our midfield and never stops pushing his team mates. The fee we payed Chelsea was a steal,Billy is a class player.

Away the hove Fae Dundee Scotland a guy I know is a Brighton fan goes to loads of games he got into them ack in the 80s we had a team in the amateur leagues up here back in the 90s called Dundee hove Albion we had a few trips to Brighton games I remember meeting Jimmy case outside Burnley's stadium my mate had arranged to get the tickets and Jimmy came out and gave us them yous got beat 2 0 I think Burnley were rebuilding there stadium and Brighton were at a low have followed them ever since my pal still goes great how good they are now since then Burnley too

Good on ye billy youre a big influence to our kids were in Ardrossan and the weans are at Stanley primary and play for Tass we man is 2014s and ma we lassie is in the 2012s you’re some player a good role model for the young team about here billy

Just settling down to watch this, and as a Scot and a long time Brighton supporter (now living in Spain), really looking forward to it (once I've got the dinner sorted 😁). He's found a home in Brighton and has been a standout since moving there. Great for him, and great for the team.

I love billy as a Chelsea fan, would start for us right now defo, and deserved more of a chance rather than getting sent on loan to Norwich. As a kid, I was always curious about homegrown talent and billy was the first ever kid I came across back in around 2017. Really talented player, and absolutely love him. His debut vs Liverpool till this day was so magical. He needs to be respected more, he is not only a cobham youth talent but hes also a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNER. some of the greatest of our generation cannot say that.

Scotland are producing top players again. Our midfield is world class McGregor, Gilmour, Ferguson, mctominay, mcginn, Armstrong Our defence is taking shape with a few right backs now We just need a striker who can finish not rely on midfield so much I see us having a good euros Players all playing top level

People are obssessed with phsique in football yet Maradona; Puskás; Messi and Zico were/are all under 173cm and not units. It's the agility and technique which matters and that's what Billy has in abundance. He's Scotland's answer to Martin Ødegaard. He's a generational talant and a super-chilled guy to boot. There's no chance our FA came up with this brilliant idea ! A bit more background knowledge of all the squad would be good . I found out recently in Britain , it was Billy Gilmore and Jordan mceneff who were wanted by every team , Jordan was destroyed by injuries . Nothing was ever holding billy back ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
