Awoken from oversleep after a record 250,000 Shions, the universe's bravest duck returns to combat the xenomorph threat. This time it's war, shuba.
I'm slightly busier than usual at the moment, but my next order of business will be to finish Peko Gear Solid 1, after which it'll be Disaster Artist and possibly one more movie night before heading into PGS2.

The story goes that the film makers on 3 were going to have Hicks go out like a punk, but the actor said that Hicks should go down fighting. So the film makers wrote him out of the script and used a cast for the opening scene of Hicks being dead.

I did not know Subaru is a cinephile, she is pointing out subtle set details in-frame and commenting on sounds as far down as foyer sounds. Plus, with her extroverted and straight-man personality she makes a watch-along very insightful and fun. Maybe I should check her out more.

Out all the summaries about Aliens Ive heard in all those years, gotta say that "Pro Wrestling" was a new, unexpected one. What a blessed duck. That said. Japanese people do love Independence Day, huh? Almost all Hololive members mentioned it at some point. I wonder if it was their first entry into movies about UFO's.

I guess most people watch the original cut. I personally really like the Director's Cut. Makes Ridley feel more of a Mom figure and expresses why she misses that feeling. I guess we could have done without seeing what LV-426 looked like before the Xenomorphs killed everyone. But I like seeing more detail though. I think the mystery is still there though.

7:10 This scene was real. Bishop was supposed to do it on his own hands but choose to do it above his co actors hand instead. So the "that's not funny man" afterwards is like a real onset reaction. The actor was not prepared for that.
