Interesting, I've never seen any other kind of music except r&b and ambient created using this device. Is it possible to use this for a pop song or something?

At its core, it's a combo sampler + 4-track tape recorder + sequencer + multi-fx pedal, so yeah, could definitely do pop music. The synth engines are awesome, but the sampling and resampling with fx has shown the most amazing creativity I've seen with it. It's best demos are all r&b / lo-fi hip hop / ambient and I think that's kinda self-reinforcing. People use the instruments used by their favorite artists and teachers, so instruments find their musical corners. I got one after seeing so many demos of people using it to make music I like :)

They are cool and have a fresh loFi sound, but you cant really get outside that lofi sound that far with the OP. These guys are utilizing the best features by using some sliced up vocal samples and heavy/creative FX in tape mode, but also remember there are 4 of them at once lol....but I agree its pretty sick and cool transitions at certain parts too.
