Lo-fi hip hop produced and performed on Teenage Engineering OP-1 not field.
Used some plugins for the effects: Output Portal, Cableguys Shaper Box 3, UAD compressors, EQ's, some plugins I made myself, etc.
I then rendered the stems and performed the whole thing via the OP-, no post-processing was done except for adding a limiter to catch any clips.
Please give me a like and subscribe if you enjoy this stuff - I post a new jam every week and don't want to feel like I'm posting into a blackhole!

Dope set bro. No visuals and no story… no problem the beat is dope. The TRex and Truck were a nice touch. 👍🏽😎. Hope you feel better sir.

Just for those who may read this and don't know, the device is an OP-1 by teenage engineering. It's a really great way to get into music making, although the price is pretty steep. So you need to know that you'll stick with it if you think about getting one! I've had this one for about 8 years now and I'm still having a great time 😊

Is your op cord going right into the computer and juat recording live?

That's right. I'm using the latest firmware for the op1 which added audio output via usb audio interface. I just record that straight into reaper

Are those plugins internal to op1 or to your laptop?

The plugins are from my laptop where I processed the stems before hand and then transferred them over to the op1. The effects on the op1 aren't too bad but I can achieve more in my laptop 😅
