Great to see medical officers getting down an dirty with the med techs! I’d love to make it to that as a career one day.

The medical personnel of Canada's Naval, Military, and Air services have, over the years, ensured that many Canadians survived devastatingly wounds. They are the best of our best.

WOW, quite the set up and a very down to earth / 'just an ordinary guy' speaking, yet high speed Doc! Very informative and well done video. The CF needs more of these types of vids, perhaps another one with Dr. (Maj.) McLaren doing some show and tell with the gear he's wearing :D

Thanks for your service. I hope some of these so call doctors and nurses you left back home complaining about nonsense will take a page out of your book and see what real emergencies look like instead of just looking for big pay to pay back tutition fee, mansion mortgage and car note on the luxury car. Prime example was when covid hit, tons of nurses and doctors took off saying they didnt sign up for this. They are right they signed up fot luxury home car and a top career label, not really helping people when they are sick, yet still on tv, podcast and radio interviews they swear on the cross thats why they got into the medical profession to help the sick. We salute you sir for showing these low hanging fruits pickers that it goes way deeper that handing out band-aids in the emergency. To all military medical staff you are the real deal doctors and nurses and you handle a pistol to boot . Its people like you that make people still have a little faith in the medial profession because we see solid stuff like what you are doing. I salute you sir and get home safe because when you get back you will see that your competition is zero. THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR 💯💯💥💥

@@jonaswhitt4322 No amount of money can replace the feeling that you saved a life. No amount of money can purchase that feeling of accomplishment. Sure, he may be in difficult and uncomfortable sitations. Sure he may make shitty money. What he can say is that he has made a difference-and that is priceless.

Ideas: - Deliver blood and medicine from orbit. - Put fans on two sides of the vehicle/plane. One pushing air in and another pushing air out. Power them with solar panels. - Elevate the section where Adam was lying down. So dust, debris, germs do not get into wounds.

[11/20/2021] I suppose that typically while in-flight they would also be wearing head protection to prevent head injuries in case of a violent jostling aircraft movement.

Hi, I'm a nursing student. I'm looking for information to do a presentation at the university regarding injuries and the kind of dressing the Canadian Army uses on the field. There's little information online regarding this topic. Do you happen to have documents or links where I can find this information ? More precisely products to stop bleeding, what kind of dressing the Army uses for wounds (occlusive, partially occlusive, etc.), the local antimicrobials use to prevent infections and what solders use when they have blisters because of the boots. Thank you so much for your service and Med teams are the best... I can't wait to be part of the team and make a difference by helping others. :)

Hey, doing a dissertation atm on cooling - at 1:10, he mentions that they use ice packs in their uniform; don't suppose anyone has any links I could look at for research on that? Thanks :)

No links, but they could just slide it inside their plate carriers for some nice protective cooling.

Civil war in Mali. After Gaddafi was removed from power in Libya, a major influx of weapons were distributed throughout North Africa. A bunch of rebel groups picked up these weapons. A coup happened after the military thought the government was doing a bad job dealing with the crisis, but the coup just made it worst and rebels took control of some major cities. Then some radical Islamists appeared and took over the North and the Mali government asked for international help. France stepped in and stabilize things, now the UN is there to help keep the peace. Canada is currently operating under the UN to provide medevacs to UN peacekeepers.
