Жыл бұрынIn 2006 I took a trip to Opa Locka with my good friend Michael Prophet. We spent a week on the platform and got to see many famous propliners in action. Here you see the ex water-bomber Douglas ‘super’ DC-4 N406MA engines running.

It still amazes me that those o!d piston engines actually worked...and worked well. They could endure running at max power for hours on end!

FWIW: I used to be in the US Coast Guard, and was working at USCG Air Station Miami -- at Opa Locka Airport -- from 1988 to 1995. {I have been living in North Carolina since 1995.} Thank You for posting this video...👍 *EDIT:* I forgot there was another vid before this one. Thanks for posting both.

You got the collection: a dc-4, a dc-7 and a dc-6. My guess is that these planes can be found only in the US.
