Ive been collecting Warhammer 40k on and off for nearly 25 years. I think the author of this article is a bit off when it comes to his view on the 40k universe. There is no objectively good faction in Warhammer 40k. The 'human faction' of the setting: The Imperium of Man, is a dogmatic, genocidal theocracy which practically enslaves hundreds of trillions of its own citizens in order to survive. They are this way through necessity ofcourse and there are certainly factions who are far worse ready to wipe them out. So if youre looking for objective 'good guys' in the setting then you must focus on the individual heroes ratger than factions and this is where i think 40K is the most resilient to leftist subversion. Due to the unimaginable horrors humanity faces, the heroes of the Imperium hold virtus which are completely antithetical to woke ideology. Virtues such as sacrifice, stoisism, discipline, vengance, honour, elitism, respect for authority/ hierachy and xenophobia. There is no place for kindness, equality, freedom or even fairness! The Imperium of Man's idea of fairness can be summed by this quote "Innovence proves nothing" 😂 It doesnt matter though, with the announcement of female Custodes the first domino has already fallen. Such is the curse of becoming mainstream supose. Gamesworkshop have retconned the lore in the past many, many times in order to introduce a model that they know will sell like crack. We in the hobby are used to Games Workshop putting profits over lore. But putting ideology over lore makes me pause. Dungeons and Dragons went from a robust, well established fantasy setting to nothing but gay/ trans characters, battle wheelchairs and trigger warnings within 10-15 years and if you think it cant happen to 40k too youre mistaken!

“Oh no my faction of big muscle men in armor isn’t fun anymore because it now has big muscle women in it 😢” man some of you need to realize that this is a game, a stupidly exspensive one but still just a game. If representation bothers you so much that your leaving or boycotting warhammer, then I’m sorry you weren’t really a fan to begin with
