The bridge is owned and maintained by the Old Railroad Bridge Company, all civic minded volunteers, hard working folk. The have a website for donations to maintain the bridge. You didn't show the panty tree off the end.

I enjoy all of your videos but especially like the ones where we can see the countryside. It is good to see places that I have never been and some of the history. Keep up the good work, young man.

Yeah, this bridge is 1 mile from Muscle Shoals Sound ...3614 Hackson Hwy. (which is actually in Sheffield) and 3 miles (+-) from FAME Recording Studios. There have been a lot of big names on this river in this area.

I can remember when the Old Railroad Bridge was still used before they dismantled the section that would raise up and down. That happened in the 1980's I think can't remember the date.
@LawsonRailway2 жыл бұрын
Im not sure who decided to tear down the florence side of this bridge but to me it was really stupid to do that i believe if they bring back the railroad it would boost up the shoals area and use this bridge again but im sure that will never happen but one can wish haha

Very cool. Would love to see some more historic sites around there. Especially Civil war places. I spent a week in Mobile and visited the Battle of Mobile bay area. Lots of great places down there.

Thanks. I had planned to do a video from Shiloh National Military Park this past (first weekend of) April, but it didn't happen. I'll end up doing one there and some from other places of interest. I started going to Fort Morgan in '81, and I've gone there every single trip to Gulf Shores since that time. I believe I have pictures from there (and the U.S.S. Alabama battleship) when I was 8 or 9, still.

Out here where I live in Oregon we open carry. Oregon is an open carry state. Most people carry semi autos. But as for me, I carry a 1860 Army conversion 45Colt. Even the deputies like what I carry.

Yeah, I've got positive comments from cops on my revolvers, too. I rarely carry an autoloader.

Plowboy, I saw your video on making paper cartridges. FAR MORE SUPERIOR THAN USING GLUE!!! Thanks. INQUIRY: Could you make a video shooting your paper cartridges?

I did load and shoot them in a subsequent Pietta .36 Griswold video. It wasn't a video all about the cartridges, but they made it into the video, just the same. Thank you!

Just up river. Cool! Back when I was a kid, I can't tell you how many times we got stuck waiting on the 2 lane drawbridge that used to be the main bridge across the TN River in Decatur, while it was raised to let a barge go through.

OMG! You're carrying a gun right out in the open! Okay, I make joke. I do as well most places I go to here in Maine open and/or concealed depending where I am going. We have had Constitutional carry since 2015, permitless open and permitless concealed. Loaded in the car in the glove box or tacked up with a magnet under the steering wheel foot well, etc. Yes, we have had ZERO mass shootings and crime has gone down .... sorry Leftists, y'all been lied to with propagandized fear porn.
@megatrends2 жыл бұрын
Side note, and this isn't a joke .... if you hide a slingshot under your shirt you get busted for illegally concealed carry of a slingshot. Ya can't make this sh*t up.

What do you think about NASCAR Banning the Confederate flag? I'm done with it! Really haven't forgiven them for letting Toyota in the circuit! And I don't live but about 20 miles from Petty and I can't believe he put Bubba Wallace in a car! Done with him too and I've been a Mopar fan all my life!
