Hi OPEN ME UP! I have the same unit and the screen would turn dark when I flip the screen to use as a tablet. I was told that the LCD cable was broken. Would you please make a video showing where that cable is and how to replace it. Thank you!

WOW thank you soooo much for this awesome video!!! I'm trying to upgrade my stock 128 GB SSD for a 1 TB one (Sony charged an eye and a tooth for those 500 GB suckers when I got my Flip 13 [Sony called it the "Flip 13" here in the U.S.] a few years ago). BTW, do you by any chance know if the M.2 port is SATA III or PCIe? the stock Samsung M.2 SATA III SSD that Sony shipped with almost all VAIO Flip 13s had M+B keys (compatible with PCIe or SATA III board controllers; although the SSD itself is SATA III) so there's no way to know if the M.2 port on the motherboard also supports PCIe in addition to SATA III Thanks beforehand!

it is most likely sata m.2 as PCIe m.2 wasnt really available when this was produce

make sure the SSD fits into the slot as you may know the keys can be different

80 which means it can fit everything else as well. it is extremely rare to find it is anything else other than 80mm

nope CPU is solder on, graphic card is solder on, ram is solder on, wireless card can be changed, and hard drive is a M.2 that change be changed.

if it was working before you switch it out then you must have done something. i recommend you to open it up again and check it out

If someone replaced only fan without heatpipes ? Fan don't have screws ( instead plastic things fixed in) to replace it without replacing heatpipe.

fan and the heat pipes are not one piece. you can remove them separately

HI Open me up, I have this laptop but lately it will not always start.. keyboard will light up but nothing else will work. there is a ticking sound but I can't find the problem. any thoughts?

most of the parts on the laptop is soldered on therefore if you having an issue it is quite bad. i believe your motherboard is faulty even though it works now and then you will probably reach a point where it wont turn on anymore i had a few laptops with this issue
