OpenAI - Build an AI Solution on Azure Using Cognitive Search

Have you been hearing all the buzz about artificial intelligence and want to wrap your head around how to actually do something with it? That's what we are going to do in this video. Azure is now the exclusive partner of OpenAI and Chat-GPT4. As part of that, understanding the way that Microsoft is approaching it is imperative. We combine various Azure resources with Cognitive Search and Power Apps to create a knowledge mining solution for just those purposes. We hope you enjoy this example and explanation of the various components.

Thanks for taking the time to highlight the critical part a knowledge base serves as a sink point for the enriched data. Contrary to all the simple RAG and streamlit demos everyone is doing. This is impressive and beyond what everyone else is doing.

This is just a vanilla AI concept. In my day job, I've been working on some really interesting projects that make this look tame. Exciting times!

This was amazing to watch, i'd love a video going more in depth on this. For someone who is new to azure, and instead of the using power apps, it'd be nice to see an example using python to call the api's to do everything you showed:) You earned my sub!

We appreciate it! Python isn't one of the languages I'm super familiar with, but it's just API calls and Json at the end of the day.

This is one of the best videos in the space about Azure Openai...you should really focus on this for awhile going forward. It will definitely help you increase your subscriber count, and this space is lacking in comprehensive guides..

Thank you so much! I'm staying on top of things but Microsoft is too. For the past few months they are releasing easier ways to do things like this regularly. I've had a few ideas but by the time I get things setup to record, it's different. Things are just moving fast right now but when I see another opportunity, I'll make sure to bring it to the channel.

Would it be possible to run this whole process with a different openai model but with the same engine?

Yes sir! The web app, cognitive services, and the open ai objects are all public. They communicate via API and assuming you have another engine and a comparable way to access it and return values, it's pretty modular

What are the network settings for Cognitive Search? Open to public?

It's open to the public by default, but it's highly recommended it gets set up with a private endpoint and traffic is routed over a corporate network.

I want to develop something like this, is it for non-technical users? Or even though I need to learn, are there any sources to learn about this. I am tired of my employee asking repetitive questions. I need chat bot that can answer based on company guidelines documents.

You can use this example and replace the web front end with a power virtual agent now. The data on the backend is still a cognitive search. I spent months trying to build an AI chatbot and a month or so ago Microsoft releases an easy button 😅
