1X, an OpenAI-backed company, has shared an exciting video showing 17 EVE robots performing various tasks completely autonomously. What's most impressive is that these robots require no human control or computer graphics manipulation. Using neural networks, they are able to act on their own, representing a breakthrough in robotics.
Experts suggest that 1X may have used simulated learning to train these robots, showing them how to perform various tasks and honing their capabilities to adapt to specific environments, such as warehouses. Furthermore, the company claims that once the robots are delivered to customers, it will only take a few minutes of data collection and training to get them up and running.
In the future, EVE is expected to have a sibling called Neo, an advanced robot with two legs and real humanoid arms. The company already has bipedal robots with five fingers, but the most important issue is how to make the robot quickly learn any action. Once this problem is solved, it will be possible to manufacture limbs for these robots.
It is notable that 1X is presented as sponsored by OpenAI, although in reality, the initial investment of $25 million attracted interest from other investors, enabling the company to receive an additional $100 million. This demonstrates the great potential and excitement surrounding advances in robotics.
In short, this video will give you a fascinating insight into the most recent developments in robotics, showing you how technology is transforming our world and creating new possibilities in the field of automation and artificial intelligence.Don't miss it!0:00 let's get started

I hope that robots will quickly replace workers in every field and that people will understand that the purpose of life is not to work like a robot and spend their lives for more valuable purposes.

I find robots interesting, but also fear the outcome that you desire. This goes parallel to why I dislike gyms. Gyms have you work out your body without accomplishing anything useful, other than improving your health. Why not improve your health while doing something useful; such as, carrying groceries or tending a garden. I also like using my mind to perform useful work. I had a problem with teachers in school when they started wanting us to use calculators to get answers, instead of teaching us how to do the math ourselves. We are evolving into something less intelligent and lazier than the previous generations and I don't like the future that I am seeing. I hope that we can work beside robots, without relying upon them enough that we become brainless and useless.

@@justinweatherford8129 I understand your concern very well, but I will try to give you a different perspective. When we examine human history, what have always been our biggest problems? to satisfy our hunger, shelter, etc. If we use robots and artificial intelligence correctly, we will have enough food and enough shelter. Imagine that instead of working from 8 am to 17 pm, you have free time where you can read a book, learn to play an instrument, unleash your creativity. Do you think it would have been better for humanity if Leonardo da Vinci had been sent to kindergarten at the age of 3, gone to school until he was 22, and then got a job from 8 to 17 and worked until he was 60? In order for creativity to emerge, we need to stop doing nonsense.

What is more interesting about the OpenAI Eve robot is that it is not needing code markers signs to tell it what it is looking at as so many robots of today need.

The only reason I'd get that little Nissan robot...would be to put it in someone's bedroom at night without telling them, and then film their horrified response. 🤣

This is the beginning of the era of the robot-owning system, which will probably lead to the emergence of an unique economy-social formation. The new hierarchy will be a kind of class-caste society where people will occupy a privileged position, forming a techno-aristocracy

Maybe there's some sort of justice in it, nobody is gonna fight for a new welfare system because poor people lose horrible jobs but when well off people lose dream jobs... The wind is going to change
