If high openness helps deal with change, the opposite must also be true; low openness helps deal with stability.

97th percentile in openness. I'm either seen as a genius or an idiot. What most don't realize is that I'm really just curious to see how they'll respond to what I say.

I was surprised to find out my score was 85 for open - mindedness on the test. It makes sense because I find it quite easy to get so absorbed into a task or activity that intrigues me and especially doing something I love and enjoy. And yeah I love music...some oldies especially classical, some pop, and some country.

Informative video. I gave the test and got 79 percentile in openness and specifically 94 in intellectual curiosity, 75 in Aesthetic sensitivity and 69 in creative imagination. I'm a student of Psychology so it's always been my interest to study Jung, Freud, Nietzsche but I also feel that it's very difficult for a person higher in openness to just get fit in into this traditional and structured ways of living in society. As It's said, it's definitely not an untroubled blessing.

That's very true, anytime you are further from the norm it becomes more difficult to fit in. I think you would probably fair much better in a creative profession than a traditional one. I'm the same way, where I need a job that is both intellectual and creative to feel happy.

I scored over 90% in Openess in all Big 5 tests I have ever completed, but actually I feel my high Openess leads to problems. I change job too often, very easily feel so bored and when I can perform all duties really well on some position, I lose my interest. I have no problems with doing things on time and enjoy organize them, but when I finish organizing and improving everything I can imagine, I feel there is nothing more interesting to do and want to do something new. Off my regular job, I am a fiction writer, watch at least two documentaries a week, read a lot, listen podcasts, visit art exhibitions and museums, attend workshops, courses, take care of my plants. There are few things I am not interested in, however my talents are limited and I feel frustration I cannot learn or understand everything, especially when I am not able to learn something that would improve my situation on a job market and would help me to find a job abroad. I also feel frustrated knowing I don't have enough energy to combine studies at university with a regular job. I have a master degree, but for sure I would like to study more and I miss being a student. I would prefer working in couple of places instead of working in one workplace, but it is very difficult to do in place I live. Also, I am really liberal living in a conservative country. Loving changes, I make people confused saying I would prefer to live in more than one city, move abroad for some time, would try to live in a hippie commune or on the island. And when I say all of that, people usually just stare at me probably thinking I am a little bit crazy. To summarize, sometimes I feel my personality doesn't match the society and job expectations. It is unpleasant when others make you feel different or weird, don't understand your motivation even when you clearly explain you like changes a lot, you are not afraid of them and you are curious of particularly everything wanting to explore as much as you can and try lots of things just for new experience or to check how you feel doing them.

GURL SAME. I'm 100% open. It's always been a problem. I just get interested in too many things I can't choose! Our brains are skewed in a sense,we see opportunities to learn everywhere abd that's a bonus, on the flip side we can't master them all.

Great content thank you for sharing your knowledge. I Scored 95 in Openness and definitely arts, music, photography and poetry are a large part of my life. Currently I have a corporate job and I struggle with schedules, time management and commit to action items, which I'd like to improve. Do you think this is related to the Openness personality or would be more related to other trait? Thank you, I subscribed.

Those would all be related to Conscientiousness! I have a video on improving that trait that you might find helpful.

Low Agreeableness. Competitive, harsh, and blunt. He wrapped a rival anti-apartheid activist's head in tire rubber and set it on fire to send a message to other rival activists. He was willing to do anything to be the leader of his movement.
