We still have to grind for the gear. Getting a 3 defense piece of gear from micro transactions still forces you to get higher level gear for infusing.

The more people do this , the more motivated Activision & Bungie will be to add even more microtransactions into Destiny or Destiny 2 because there are still people who pay alot for this. You can do whatever you want with your money, though. It's up to you if you wanna spend a lot for this , when you can grind it by doing other activities.
