Hi everyone! Thank you for the well wishes. I wanted to say that this channel is not my priority, as when the shop opens any employees I hire and the community I serve will be my main focus. I hope this transformation is enjoyable to watch, and until the shop is completed I will try to post at least once a month. I am definitely not a KZfaqr! I’ve owned a restaurant for 14 years, the one thing I’m always reminded of is keeping it simple. When starting out, just think about how to get customers & keep those customers. Always ask yourself, why would I want to come to my coffee shop, then strive to fulfill that want. So, keep it simple, have a light heart, have fun & love your customers 💜💜💜

Belle I lived for 26 years in the town where your coffee shop is. I was an elementary school teacher there and my husband was a professor at the university. We live about an hour south now and are retired. Darn! I wish we were still there and could come to your shop. Actually- I would have loved to help you paint and get ready. I wish you ALL THE SUCCESS with your new business. I have been a follower of your dad and mom for years. Next time I am in that town- I definitely will stop in and have a coffee. GOOD LUCK!!!

I like the deeper warmer blue you chose for the accent walls and borders. Much calmer a feeling than the florescent blue that was in the original kitchen area. I said the same thing on your Mothers videos..... These should be shown in schools. As a Teen onward it would never have occurred to me or my friends to not only start a business but think we could do the reno work. Might be a little easier for boys on some of that subject but in general girls or boys i doubt it would be common. But Especially for young girls. .The thought of doing what you are all doing and or your mothers building a Cabin should be something spread about the world to all kids.

A thot for sometime in the future - study up on how various colors affect the human body - most important for digestion when you are in an eating establishment. You want them coming back because they feel so good after they have eaten/drank there.

I used to frequent a coffee/tea establishment called The Novel Cafe. One of the coolest things about that place was the owner would go to thrift shops, flea markets, garage sales, ect. to buy used books. Fiction, nonfiction, how to's, and the like. They'd keep them on shelves around the Cafe. Hence the name NOVEL cafe. A large amount of the regular customers enjoyed to go to the The Novel specifically to read (perhaps) an old mystery novel (or whatever struck their fancy) sip a hot beverage, and have a nice meal.
