one of the best intros ive seen. putting aside the storyline and plot actors etc etc, i hope the art department wins a few emmys for their work. they did a great job!

Amazing opening. It works like a prologue, in 40 seconds we see the great war, the four breeds, a leaf falling, the Ellcrys and the silhouette of the astonishing and lovely princess Amberle. Ruelle fantastic singing “Until We Go Down”. Loved the intro, loved the show, loved Poppy Drayton, looking forward to see her again on Season 2.

I’m not sure whether I wanted this show to continue or not. On the one hand there were parts I genuinely enjoyed and I hate leaving shows on cliffhangers no matter what the quality. But at the same time it was a pretty poor adaptation of the books especially in season two when they started killing off a bunch of characters who weren’t supposed to die yet. I think the show had potential to keep getting better, but I kinda would rather see a reboot now

What's so genius about this opening is that it TELLS and REVEALS the overall hidden story of the show that you don't discover until much later in the show with less than 40 seconds of screen time! Also the OST used for it is just amazing!

The intro is stunningly perfect. If they could lower the action factor as well as the insane minor plot twists that happen all the time, that'd be great. I know it is a book adaption, though.

What I love about this show is that technically its joy a fantasy or a medieval world, it's a fuckin dystopian future n all the creatures are nothing but mutated humans

The elves aren't mutated humans, which is why they're not mentioned in the intro. They're actual elves from the time of Faerie, and during the modern era they're hiding deep inside of forests and don't come out until after the nuclear war. There were also actual dwarves, gnomes, trolls, etc. in the time of Faerie that went extinct, whom the mutated humans are named after. And the demons in the Forbidding are Faeries, too, not mutants.
