Come with me into the Tennessee woodlands as we hunt for the elusive Wild Turkey, and those wonderful delicacies....Morel mushrooms. The weather is good, and the season is just starting. Lets go see what we can find!

Persistence pays off!!! Great comeback after missing that one early. Hey, it happens and sometimes you just can’t explain what happened when you miss a chip shot. I once missed a close shot by blasting a small tree that got in the way. Those two year olds will sometimes come in on a string. I’d give that area another try. My opening day didn’t go as planned, a gobbler we thought we had figured out gave us the slip. All I got was a lot of good exercise. lol. Congratulations, my friend!!!

I enjoy the springtime for many reasons. Morels and wild turkeys are a few of them.

You remind me of me, True Hunting is Respectful, Thankful & Spiritual, we keep it that way & savior it, unlike horrible t.v. & SO many, TOO many videos & sheople for the past, atleast 25 years, I actually enjoyed this video & Thank You Sir for sharing, it brought back memories of younger years when I cared to hunt, & when hunting was hunting, to me atleast, .....just a better world overall & it seemed like wildlife still had a place to exist instead of peoples backyards like nowdays,.....I mean - back when I guided for Mt. Goats in BC Can. only 35 years ago, the last,...things have SO changed with the horrible use of vehicles & people penetrating it TOO easily, & even living in wilderness, to the point wilderness hardly exists as I use to view it, & could only try to imagine it how it was, only 25, 50, or 100 years before me.......Spiritual thoughts to me......& feelings of sorrow for what is becoming of the world,....Thanks again for sharing.....

Bit by bit the woods, fields and wetlands are taken up by sub-divisions, parking lots, and more houses and roads. How sad it is that society puts little value on our wild places. God gave us a beautiful planet, and we treat it like it's just made for our use and misuse.

Nice bird Tom, you did the right thing by pushing on and you kept hunting. I've had lots of hunts that were much the same. I understand you trying to get Alex out, I hope to get my son out this year too.

I was really glad to hear from you while I was hunting, and informing me of your success. It put me into a different mind-frame, and then I found that antler shed. I can't explain it but something took a turn for the better in me. Congratulations on your bird Doug. The only thing that could have made it better was to be there with you on that hunt, and get it on video.

I do not even know what a yellow morel is other than a mushroom never have eaten nor what taste like don’t grow here in south Texas as for as I know
@CumberlandOutdoorsman2 ай бұрын
I don't think they do. Morels occur in woodland soils that are well drained.
