My childhood was a bleak one. I was poor, live in slums, but at least our family had a TV inherited from my granfather. It was the 90s, every sunday the TV would air this. They dub the song into indonesian. It brings me joy and warmth reminiscing about those times while hearing this song. My childhood was a harsh one, but still, I miss it. The innocence, as I enjoyed these shows for the first time. Adulthood turns out harsher than ever. Struggling for $150 a month just to survive, I wish I could stay as a kid, watching digimon through my old TV, no need to think for money, I could survive with no food for a week as a child, just give me a ps1, a TV airing these shows, and infinite time... maybe that'd be my heaven someday. Back to the day when innocence can keep me alive and well.

Originally, I was listening to some political news and opinions about my country, then this started playing while I was in the bathroom (my cat probably stepped on my laptop when I was doing my business lol) I haven't seen the movie but... yeah, Digimon Adventure was that particular show I was always excited about when coming home from school 🥲 Man so many memories suddenly went rushing back, the times I even pester my best friend to come watch the show with me convincing his granny with puppy eyes just to let him come over but tells us to do our homework first (eventually finishing the homework after the episode for that day is done most of the time 🤣) and playing Yu-Gi-Oh and that turn based Digimon game on the PS1. Darn. I suddenly missed the good old days. My best friend already moved to a better country and met his life partner, while I stayed in our country working a 7-4 job 5 days a week. To any kid who actually read through my long *** rant, just enjoy the moment with friends, family and loved ones while preparing for the future. Don't forget to keep in touch with them as well from time to time even if you guys become time-zone apart 👌

Digimon Adventures was one of the first animes I saw before I even got properly into watching anime, although it was without the japanese openings amd endings and just the western OST. But once I got into anime I've rewatched both seasons of digimon adventure and the movies in japanese and really enjoyed the songs. I never really got into Frontier, Tamers and whatever other digimon versions there is, but when they announced Digimon Adventure Tri. I got incredibly excited and wasn't disappointed at all when it wasn't the childish version like the first and second season but a more mature version like the movies if not more. In my opinion that is lovely as it shows it's targetting audience really was the ones that grew up with the originals and not just to appeal for a new generation.

The last movie.. A great message for all of us. Especially us who grew up watching digimon. We can never stay as kids. One day, we all have to grow up. Old gen grow up for the younger ones 🥲. Will treasure this memory till the end ❤

As soon as he started singing, it was like 'whoosh'; a rush of nostalgia and the realisation that my kid would not ever get to feel this song or the emotion behind it. Sad and happy at the same time.

I just got my crest of friendship on an online shop and I listened to this song. It makes me cry so much. R.I.P. Wada Kouji. Additional. That guitar solo in the end is so well done.

I guess I'm not the weird one who cry after hearing this. Both the original and this version, but this version where the VA sing together just hits different. Braveheart also causes similar thing, but butterfly is just different

Translation of Lyrics I'll become a happy butterfly, and ride on the glittering wind I'll come to see you soon It's best to forget the unnecessary things There's no more time to be fooling around What do you mean, wow wow wow wow wow? I wonder if we'll reach the skies But, wow wow wow wow wow I don't even know what my plans are for tomorrow After an endless dream, in this world of nothingness It seems as if our beloved dreams will lose Even with these unreliable wings, covered in images that tend to stay I'm sure we can fly, on my love I'll become a merry butterfly, and ride on the earnest wind I'll come to see you where ever you are Ambiguous words are surprisingly handy I'll shout it out, while listening to a hit song What do you mean, wow wow wow wow wow? I wonder if it'll echo through this town But, wow wow wow wow wow There's no use anticipating After an endless dream, in this miserable world That's right, maybe not using common sense isn't so bad after all Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay I'm sure we can fly, on my love After an endless dream, in this world of nothingness It seems as if our beloved dreams will lose Even with these unreliable wings, covered in images that tend to stay I'm sure we can fly, oh yeah After an endless dream, in this miserable world That's right, maybe not using common sense isn't so bad after all Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay I'm sure we can fly, on my love Best to see the lyrics after watching the 1st version of digimon and tri
