@@Brooksie603 It's a long hiatus. She was living alone in Ireland, and the lockdown was getting to her. She went to Spain to visit her parents, brother, sister-in-law, and niece for Christmas, and decided not to go back right away. Spain has also been under lockdown to some degree, but at least she hasn't been forced to endure it alone.

Diane, you're getting really good at opening gifts for people! You look so happy and appreciative! People that send you things just want to see that they were able to put a smile on your face! That's what makes it all worth it! I guarantee watching you blush like that over the VR set definitely made it worth it! That was such a great reaction because it was so sincere and joyful and honest. THAT'S really why people send you things. It feels good to be able to make someone that happy. Yes, some people do keep the boxes. Oh, and a little trick for when you receive cards (if it's short), you can go ahead and read the little printed message out loud if you want to, but omit any private handwritten notes on it.

Omg!! Edmond is only a 30min drive from me!! Frito Chili pie is AMAZING, but it should be topped with shredded cheddar cheese & maybe some onions. It's "okay" with canned chili, but even better with homemade. In some places (normally, concession stands) cheese sauce is used instead of shredded.

I grew up on pecan divinity. Pecan trees were all over the neighborhood (Houston) and we could gather a grocery bag full in about 30 minutes. The whole family would shell them while we watched TV. Mom (from New Orleans) would make a huge batch of divinity. Mmmmmm

Fritos chili pie is amazing! Contrary to popular belief, you aren't obligated to show the "ladies" to get Mardi Gras beads. During the daytime, people are just chucking beads at anyone. Love the Sesame Street shirt. I keep waiting for someone to send a box with progressively smaller boxes inside. The best way to enjoy Spam is pan fried almost black on white toast with your choice of cheese and yellow mustard. Chewie for Chewie. Very meta. I really need to stop chopping onions during big gift reveals.

Frito pie = Fritos + chili dumped on top + shredded cheese (Something like a cheddar probably, but it's hard to go wrong with shredded cheese.) dumped on top Just toss it in the oven and bake it until the cheese looks molten and a little brown. That's all. Basically just throwing stuff in a pan and making it hot. Easy AF. It is EXCELLENT. +optional sour cream + optional pickled jalapenos + optional diced onions after baking (I highly recommend all three)

@@DianeJennings Nah. You've got this. It's like making a sandwich. Just basically can't go wrong enough to mess it up unless you truly and completely burn it. It's one of those things where a little burned is still great, because burned cheese is great. And even if you don't bake it "enough", it's still great, because warm chili, warm cheese, and Fritos is still good. And you can add sour cream, onions, and jalapenos to individual forkfulls as you're eating to figure out how much you do or don't want. I truly think a 4 year old could figure it out, and would have more trouble operating the can opener than making the whole Frito pie.

I haven't attended a Mardi Gras celebration myself, but my understanding is that you get a _string_ of beads each time you flash the goodies. Possibly even multiple strings, if there are multiple witnesses. So that collection would only represent, what? A few... dozen... gratified onlookers? Hardly worth mentioning in the context of a citywide celebration of vice. 😁

Last time I was there in 2000 I caught some beads from a playboy bunny and that set of beads is worth 2000 dollars now. They were made out of porcelain had the bunny on it and signed by the playmate on the back....

I have been going to Mardi Gras for the past 11 years straight. You only show the goodies for the special beads. You know big ones or uncommon ones. It is a lot of fun, from the music, to the art, to the good food ( king cake and crawfish). It is truly a fun time! Like a very large music festival.

I live in the Orlando area. If you’re going to Disney World, it’s probably worth it to stay at one of the Disney resorts, at least for the days/nights that you’re going to the Disney parks. Transportation between the resorts and parks is usually simpler than if you’re staying off-site. It’s probably more expensive, though.

Holy smokes, an OQ2?! 1)You can make mods on the device. 2)You can "alter" certain settings + additional games with "sideloading" via "Sidequest...and it DOESN'T breach FB's terms of agreement.3)Watching youtubevr (especially music videos on the large screen) is absolutely amazing! Though word of warning, 3D on youtube is subpar. (due to technology constraints). Have fun...i'm hooked. I just used mine prior to watching this video. LOL

The Gods punished me for my procrastination by having me miss viewing and commenting in the FHC. I have a bunch of stuff in what I call the Diane Jennings to be sent memorial shrine. The oldest item having been collected three years ago. When it comes to procrastination, I am in a world championship league of my own. I really enjoy watching your unboxing video's. With cocoa as a drink not sure but as opposed to hot chocolate cocoa is the powder often adding sugar Nashe a paste with 30 ml milk the add hot milk it isn’t like nestles quick or add water hot chocolate I prefer it though a bit gritty as cocoa would not fully dissolve. So bet there are instructions though . Great to know you have such a crowd of people thst care for your well being I. All areas.

The fates tried to keep you from getting all this stuff, but you and Paul outsmarted them. A Frito pie is traditionally eaten out of the Fritos bag, Just lay the bag on its back, use scissors to cut a cross in the front of the bag, peel the corners back, and pour in the heated chili. You have enough to make quite a bit, so maybe you could share it with your family. That's a Pat Mahomes Kansas City Chiefs jersey. Kansas City is famous for its BBQ, so when you visit there you'll have to try some. I'm really happy to see you so happy. Have a great time with all these gifts!
