Thank you for this! I had this Barbie and trying to describe her as an adult everyone looked at me like I was crazy! I was starting to think she was a weird fever dream or Mandela effect lol

Lol I know they only made a few Barbie dolls with this body type before they were discontinued 2 years later. I don’t see these dolls come up at resellers too often either.

I still have my Jewel Girl Barbie. I called her "Britany Spears Barbie" because she reminded me of her. Getting the dolls out of the boxes then was HARD WORK !!! 😆😆😆

Oh wow! I haven’t heard a lot of people say they still have theirs. The worst part is when they sewed the hair to a plastic strip that was also sewn to the box.

Loved the unboxing, to keep from being sticky dust with a little corn starch or baby powder! wipe down then dust belly lightly. i collect dolls too the my scene dolls , bratz and the Flava hiphop dolls.

Great video! Just a suggestion, if you grab both sides of the plastic things in the hair and pull outwards, at the same time, it will come out. The struggle was real 20 years ago! Haha

Oh wow! What a surprise from the past. I had the Barbie version when I was a kid. The waist feels sort of like silicone, it has a softness to it, but I also remember it would get dust/lint stuck to it so I would have to wipe occasionally. She gave me a dancer/pop star vibe at that time. Though It think I messed up her lip color a bit using gel pen to color it 😅.

I have two Jewel Girl Teresa dolls, one NRFB and the other loose. I had Barbie and Christie dolls and I will buy them back. I love their Ever Flex waists.

Had Christie when I was little, too bad I no longer have her now 😢 But I did a bid on an auction for a new one of her on EBay 😊😊 She was part of my childhood (and others say that adults are too old for toys or dolls)

The material reminds me of TPE. I have a TPE doll and she’s famous for tracking lint, so I have to clean her at least once a month. These dolls are super cool, but I can totally relate to how the vinyl would be tedious to keep clean. 😅

Yes exactly! I think that’s why they only lasted about two years then the new body faded into a new design!

There actually are 2 variants of these!! One that came with bracelet and one that didn't. The bracelet was a Special Offer back in the day basically!!

Loved this video! I also find it so weird how there are two versions (one with a human bracelet and one without it) 😂 I believe the one without the bracelet might be the older one considering they didn’t advertise it in any of the commercials? It’s really interesting and I can’t find any information on it lol

I know! I had these dolls packed away for over 20 years so I forgot that one set didn’t have the bracelet, lol. I believe the set with the bracelet did come later.
