Sarah, you shouldn't feel bad if things don't go perfectly. You are a fantastic mother & you plan out so much for the different holidays, birthdays. & even just on the normal days. I get that when you put so much time & effort into something then you want it all to go smoothly & be perfect, but with a big family like yours, you tend to have little mishaps here & there which is okay. I know this sounds weird but put cold super glue on it and a butterfly bandage to pull it tight it will hold it together and heal quickly. It's done alot in the E.R. here in the US. It lessens the trauma for children.. no needles needed. Merry Christmas from Kansas City, Missouri Nonna 🥰🥰

Sarah I know exactly how you feel. I always work so hard to make everything perfect and to make sure everyone has everything they need and most of what they want. It is so unrealistic and really not in the spirit of Christmas. I am going to give myself a present of lower expectations.

I know what you mean Sarah, about the old version of the electronic pad Jace and Esme got. I got one like theirs for my grandson but he is only 14 months so I’m holding onto it for a while. The old version had a red plastic “pen” and there was a clear plastic sheet over a black vinyl sheet on a card stock sheet. Bless you all.

Sarah I definitely remember the things you were talking about when you were playing with the kids writing tablets. Of course, me being 45, I remember lots of things from the past. What a lovely Christmas Eve you guys had!! I also know the pressure we parents put on ourselves to make everything perfect for Christmas for our kids. But I saw something online a few years ago that was talking about whether or not we as parents remember when we were kids what mattered the most to us back then. And it wasn’t the gifts we received. The writing tablet is awesome. Oh my Mila is the cutest smartest little red headed baby girl. I love jace's hair. Fun for everyone even Chris! My kids are all grown so within minutes of drawing names they each knew who got each other's name.

I know exactly what you are talking about Sarah! I think you & I are are a year apart in age so right when you started explaining the drawing pad, I knew which one you were speaking about. It's a Magic Slate Drawing Pad or a Magic Slate Paper Saver. We also had the Etch A Sketch. The Magna Doodle & the Lite Brite were popular too. I like the ones that Jace & Esme got. Technology really has come a long way! That little camera that Jace got is so cool & it looks durable for little ones like him that tend to drop things.

Sarah, I remember the magic drawing board you were talking about, it had transfer ink... And a clear sheet on top that you pulled away from your drawing and smoothed back down to make it clear again.
