Working at self checkout it’s alright it’s only stressful when multiple people need your help at a time and people don’t seem to understand that they have to wait there turn

Are you still working at Target? I just started part time as Guest Advocate in AZ averaging 2 days a week. I love working with the public. It is great if it is a smooth transaction but more challenging when situations come up (coupon checks, price matching, etc). They don't have proper training time and practice for all possible situations at the register prior to working alone at the register and expect a new hire to remember it after having been shown 1 time. Unlocking locked spider wraps or plastic cases are very challenging. This is very stressful and having to keep paging for assistance.

If a driver license can be scanned from the back, does this mean the License is valid? do you have a video that shows how to process and deal with different situations at the register? This will help those that are new and for those that need a refresher course. Thanks! Love your video

middle hour They’re really flexible about what time you would want your shift. But yes they do offer weekend shifts or weekdays if u prefer!

Would Target let me work 25-35 hrs a week for part time if I asked for them? Or are these many hrs considered full time? I would like to find a cashier job where I could get some health benefits, but you have to work a certain number of hours and the employer actually has to be willing to give those hours.

I work as a cashier or what target calls a “ check out advocate” From my experience managers are really flexible and open with ours. Nevertheless the more the better. I do believe more than 16 hours a week is considered full-time however

How hard is self checkout is it as hard as cashier , I'd rather do stocking but they gave me cashier iwant to change or whatever they called costumer experience salesfloors accociate

Not bad but self checkout is as the same as cashier u can say. Little more tasks bc u have to watch everyone when they scan.

hey is this the same as guest advocate? and also what do you wear usually can you wear leggings? How much do you get payed is it hard?

Guest advocate yes is the same thing. So what we normally wear is jeans or khakis we can’t wear leggings sadly. We get $15 an hour

How long are your shifts? I go for orientation Monday and I'm a bit nervous because I've never done cashier

they typically are 5-8 hours shifts. and i hope you enjoy it!!! cashier is soo much fun!!

@@HeyyEmann It's not that bad. My second day I'm pretty sure like three guest got free beers because when my coworkers that's under 21 would ask me to scan the alcohol for them, I didn't sign in which means the item didn't scan. I didn't realize that until the 4th time I did it, lol. It's not really my fault because I didn't really get much training until my 3rd day. The register really does tell you what to do so it's not as bad as I thought it would be

Hopefully you see this :) I’m 20 and have been thinking of applying for target as my first job and I’m terrified of the thought of being a cashier because of anxiety and I just wanted to ask you how it’s been so far? I think rn because it’s December I’d probably get hired as a seasonal cashier

you bring your ID, and a proof of verification. this could be your social security card. But you don’t have to wear red that day. And they just go over some rules and the environment of target. If you have any more questions lmk i’m hear for you! I wish you the best of luck!

I know I'm 1 yr late but I'd appreciate it if you answered, I'm required to work nights at my current job which is really inconvenient because i don't drive and have to call Uber and Lyft and wait for them at 10:30 pm , when there is no cars or anyone else around. Sometimes no ride driver is working so i have to wait or ask my manager for a ride, i really hate that. Im thinking of applying to Target , i hope they would let me work mornings and afternoons only.

For instance I work 8 AM to 4 PM every fifth hour I have to take a meal. A meal is unpaid but you get a 15 every two hours you work.

If a guest doesn’t know how to to scan they shouldn’t be at self checkout they should be on a lane
