Same! I was incredibly surprised by that when I opened mine up. I ended up ordering a couple duplicates of some cards (like Fiend’s Sanctuary) that I use in other decks just so I could have a “play” copy and a “collection” copy.

If all this product included was the briefcase, nothing else, I could see that argument. But you really are underestimating the value of this product if you think $100 is reasonable.

Decent-quality custom-made metal briefcase with a bottom specifically molded for holding trading cards (instead of being flat metal or fabric-lined) The briefcase alone-nothing in it except the dividers-Konami could have sold for at least $100 as a collectible item, I’m sure. 2. Limited-edition commemorative plaque containing three Prismatic Secret Rare copies of Blue-Eyes White Dragon Keep in mind, DDS-001 Blue-Eyes White Dragon goes for over $600 each on the secondary market. That card was in a limited first-version run of Dark Duel Stories for GameBoy. This plaque is from a made to order set. I would say that this alone could have sold from $50 to $100, easily. And possibly even more. 3. A replica of Seto Kaiba’s manga deck, all cards in Ultra Rare, using Japanese artworks, on Japanese card stock Now, let’s focus on those Japanese artworks, shall we? At least six cards in the set (X-Head Cannon, XYZ-Dragon Cannon, XY-Dragon Cannon, Monster Reborn, Fiend’s Sanctuary, and Ring of Destruction) have their original, uncensored artwork. Using the Lost Art Promotion as a guide, a player would need to spend more than $180 in product at an Official Tournament Store to be given six LART series cards. Correct? Now, I’m not saying that the cards are worth that, individually, but that does give some perspective on how even some of the more minor cards in this set carry some value. Now, let’s focus on the Ultra Rare aspect. This deck is nearly 60 cards, yeah? Konami rarely includes more than five foil cards (Ultra and Super Rare) in a Structure Deck, and most Structure Decks are 40 to 50 cards. So this is definitely more valuable than a $10 Structure Deck would be, just because it costs more to produce. Oh, and don’t sleep on the quality. The use of OCG card stock for these is immediately noticeable and adds to the production cost, I’m sure. Oh, yeah, and the Quarter-Century Secret Rare Blue-Eyes White Dragon in this is also nice. So again, I’m not saying it’s worth $400, but saying you’d never pay more than $100 for something like this is saying waaaay more about you than it is about this product.

​@ThatOneWeirdFlex consider the whole package. The briefcase is sturdy aluminum and stainless steel with a soft padded inner lining, with the yugioh Kaiba Corp branding on it. It also has the acrylic dividers. You get the 3 blue eyes in the thick display case with the yugioh branding on it. You also get a 60- card deck that's all holographic, which is worth around $50 itself when considering the price of other all-foil sets, typically 80 cents- $1 per card (5-card boosters for 3.99-4.99, duel devastators was 50 cards for $40). A good chunk of the price is from factoring in the production cost of a specialty made-to-order item, it had to be designed and then a manufacturer had to take workers, materials and machinery away from standard manufacturing efforts, odds are wherever these were made wasn't just churning out nearly identical briefcases where they could just stamp the yugioh label on, load the cards and other stuff into a foam insert and call it a day.

This is Kaiba’s manga deck, not his anime one. Kaiba never played Pot of Greed in the manga. (That’s why certain odd cards like “Invitation to a Dark Sleep” are in here that he never used in the anime, to my recollection.)

Because it's supposed to be a replica of Kaiba's briefcase and back then they didn't have "/NORMAL". I hate this change.

Take a look at both products and compare them in terms of materials and construction quality. You literally have to be blind to say something like that. But the KC case is still overpriced but is not a rip-off like the TCG classic.

The deck is a recreation of Kaiba’s manga deck, not his anime or movie one.
