Demo of a OpentTX/EdgeTX GPS telemetry script.
used an ARDUINO as GPS simulator and connected it to the serial port a F4 flight controller. additionally a crossfire module and a vtx was connected to "feed" betaflight (OSD / telemetry data) and transmit it to the radio.

So when I try to access the gps stats lua it says log file doesn't exist. Where do I make the logs file? I tried putting it in the telemetry folder and the bmp folder.

Has this been verified to work with EdgeTX 2.9.4? I just upgraded and it says "no GPS fix" even though the sensor is working and showing telemetry data.

Sorry I am a beginner, Where are the 2 coordinates bellow home position from? I understand one of them shuld be the drone position but I see there are 2 coordinates besides the home position in the bottom of the screen, I can also see there is a 2 digit number before the coordinates but I don't understand what they mean, thanks for your help

Unfortunately on my horus X12 I can't get it to work. The program does not find my GPS. I see the GPS in the telemetry screen ID 277. the program says "No GPS fix"

Hey silly question, does gps have to be connected to the crossfire rx? Or does it get the telemetry from betaflight.

There isn't a rez thats supported that I can see. Someone want to try the lite maybe and see if it works

Hello Mosch, I learned about this from TMac. Am I correct that this does not work for iNav? I get the screen but no data. Any plans to modify this for iNav? Thanks! It's a terrific idea!

Could it work with Frsky GPS Sport? I tried it and doesn't work. How could I modify lua to do it.

Telemetry data will be send via betaflight and is not dependent on the GPS itself. check the coordinates within the BF configurator and under sensor discovery of opentx/edgetx

Mosch - I have your latest 2.4 version on my TX16S running the latest OpenTx but I can't get it to work - it gets as far as showing the "No GPS Fix" banner but no more data even though the OpenTx telemetry screeen shows a GPS position. I have checked and it isn't creating the "/LOGS/GPS positions.txt" file - there is a /LOGS/ folder present. I really hope that you can help as it looks like a great tool. Cheers, Mike

Hi. I installed on my QX7. Lua works, but the log doesn't. When I scroll to the BF log there is a message "no GPSpositions file". I created tx. file, inserted into Log and also to Telemetry, but the same result. Does anyone have advice?

@@Chillin-fpv No I did not fix this. I use external LUA script that displays GPS coordinates and don't delete them when the RC is shut off.

I put this on my T16 and it looked like it was working. I turned off my radio and when I came back to it, every time I try to go to the screen running the script, it locks my radio up. I have to remove the battery to turn it off. When I power it on again, it's in Emergency Recovery mode. I can then power it off and back on and everything looks normal again until I try to go to the screen with the script, then it all repeats. Any suggestions on what I can do to get it to work?

Fixed - was a memory issue which was related to the specific FW
