Any video by Vitas. Dimash did do covers of his most famous songs, but I do think Vitas’ Opera 2 or Diva Dance are cool to watch in contrast to Dimash’s covers to see stylistic differences :)

@@maggiereneemusic The group was formed in the 80s in the USSR. All members of the group with a higher musical education. The first name of the group was Alma-Ata-Studio. Later, in 1987, the name was reduced to A-Studio and this year the group declared the year of birth. The song "Sinful Passion" was written and recorded in 1998 already after the collapse of the USSR. The original version is much inferior in all respects in comparison with the arrangement performed by Dimash.

Maggie, FYI, what you call Ethnic Vibe @11:15 is a Middle Eastern (Kazakh?) funeral lament - Dimash is showing his respect to recently passed-away singer of this band, who composed this song. And then is followed by 22 sec run at the end. This is just pure heaven.

I believe the singer has a new season going on so they are striking anyone that is putting up any of their videos. Might be a better option to try and stay away from those for the time being. Even though I would love to see them Maybe Unforgettable Day on Gloria Wu's channel, she's got the background and subtitles so you get the full back story and makes it that much more emotional

You want an honest how? He's very athletic and he's 6'3". He is not a short dude... also he barely has any body fat. He's a twig. He probably has a high V02 Max due to genetics/his no fat... explains why he can hold his breath so darn long... as well as him playing sports. He likes swimming lol... I heard from other vocal coaches that he probably has large vocal folds which helps with the baritone quality/whistle/falsetto stuff even though he's probably just what a really tall and vocally gifted tenor would sound like. Also what you consider whistle tone... is not whistle to me. If you hear more of his performances, you'll know what his whistle tone sounds like :) I really enjoy your reactions because I can tell you know your stuff (vocally). I'm basically a Dimash superfan and musician. I've heard thousands upon thousands of reactions to Dimash over the last 3 years and you've said quite a few things I haven't heard before. Super Vocal had a great band too. Another singer who is good from the same contest is Ayanga, don't know his last name. He is self taught and he and 2 others from SUPER VOCAL from 2019 sang with Dimash in a Queen Medley. Ayanga is the one on the right of Dimash in a silvery jacket. Check out his 2 duets from SUPER VOCAL both in English titled THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and COVER ME. I laugh because both songs are meant for a man and a woman to sing. Dimash was born at the crossroads of western Asia where a multitude of ethnicities have influenced and shaped this region. It is not surprising that, as a gifted painter, he can utilize the skills and influences that he has mastered to artistically create different shades and colors that brilliantly display his enormity and genius. Things that normally would be discordant and disturbing have been skillfully and lovingly melded together to evoke feelings that have not been unlocked until now. This is a measure of a man with the keys to unlimited possibilities and styles. Dimash can be viewed as creativity at its best. One can feel and see the expressiveness and joy that he has in creating his unforgettable sonic art that is both stunning and unbelievable. He shocks and awes his audiences so completely that the emotions that he liberates are so profoundly personal. It is no wonder that people can be seen both unabashedly weeping and filled with the ecstatic joys of total fulfillment. Dimash makes his audiences feel so complete, transporting them away from their mundane lives and enabling them to see fantastic lands filled with unparalleled beauty and sensuality. Each performance is an experience of a lifetime that leaves inspiration and sublimity on a deeply intimate level. Maggie, thank you for your inciteful views. I do appreciate the visual graphs that solidify your reviews of the mechanisms of musical technicality. It is refreshing to see this done in a humanistic way that adds to the entertainment value. Keep it up! You're doing well!

To quote Jose Maria Matos Montalvan Esteves: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw), is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist: Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash. Thank you for doing another Dimash! By the way, if you didn't have a jaw drop for the 22 second run, THAT would have looked silly.

@anjalena I don't know if it is true the part of retirement, Igor have several projects on with Novaja Volna-festival, he was one of the judges in You are Super, talentshow etc. Even though he turned 64 it doesn't seem as he stopped working and he praised the surgeon who operated his heart for gicing him 10 more years. For certain is that Igor and Dimash really have found each other on a musical and friendship level. To me it seems that Dimash gave Igor new inspiration to compose. Igor said that Dimash was his main focus now. That might be in the sense of composing. But honestly I don't know. But Dimash told Igor to get Instagram 😄.

About this song, it was written thirty years ago for A-Studio by Baigali Serkebayev, the gentleman playing the keyboard and by the poet Ilia Reznik. The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song since the original rendition never was a hit. Dimash’s tribal/ethnic riff while singing was a homage (call to pray) paying respect to Batyr Shukenov, the vocalist, who died in 2015. Finally, the gentleman with white shirt giving the standing ovation to Dimash is the famous Russian composer maestro Igor Krutoy who by that time was retired and he returned to compose beautiful songs for Dimash such Olympico - Ogni Piera, Love is like a dream and most recently Your love together with Lara Fabian

Dimash the best male pop-op vocalist in the world. Vitas SOS his high notes I was told were pre-recorded and then lip synct. Being an opera singer, you will love Dimash “Ogni Pietra” total operatic voice. But now I would like to introduce you to Diana Ankudinova who possesses the most unique mesmerizing memorable amazing atavistic tribunal primordial shaman goddess voice in the world -any age. At age 14 her incredible and legendary performance of an old ritual wedding folk song titled “ rechenka” ( River in English) Is -to this day-considered by many professional vocalists and coaches as the most unique and mesmerizing live performance by a vocalist -any age , in the history of Russian talent shows-adult or kids!! And along with “ Human” ( low notes to die for.. she’s a rare contralto ) and “ Wicked Game” contributed to her winning not only the kids contest for 2 consecutive years but catapulted her to international stardom. with millions of avid followers worldwide. And you might want to read a little about her tragic younger years as an orphan abandoned and tossed into a garbage can unable speak for years after she was up for adoption by her birth mother at age 3. You may want to continue your Ankudinova journey by reacting the year prior to “ rechenka” when she was 13! She entered her first kids contest in Russia where she sang a song that required masterful yodeling. It was a masterpiece, a tour de force, some say the best yodeling performance in the history of videos showcasing yodeling, but in this performance it wasn’t just her amazing yodeling but also her body movement and stage presence and incredible as this might sound ( and I’ll shortly explain the reason why) but NOT ONE CHAIR TURNED!!!! After the song was finished and the judges turned around , the audience interrupted what they were saying by giving Diana a 5 minute STANDING OVATION. After the applause, the judges had her perform a segment of a French song made famous by Edith Pief and after she sang it , the lady judge covered her face with both hands in utter shock , disbelief and SHAME. The judges said they didn’t press their buttons because they couldn’t teach her anything. She was beyond their level already. But this turned out to be a BLATANT LIE and one of the worse scandals in Russian talent contest history. Because the following day it was revealed that the contest was “ fixed” the winner was “bought” before the show started. A total travesty of justice and revealing how corrupt this Russian kids show was at the time. And the following days over 80 million who watched the contest when posted on KZfaq spit on the judges. But she got her revenge the following year and year thereafter by winning not only the Russian contests in two consecutive years but 60 more awards and contests. Please ( when you get the chance) I BEG of you to at least privately react by YouTubing “ Diana Ankudinova yodeling”. And you’ll witness a yodeling masterpiece and if you stay to near the end of the judges commentary ( making excuses and lying) you will hear a brief portion of the French song the judges asked her to sing that she NAILED! And there is a video of her outside a mall at age 11 singing this same French song but the complete version and she KILLED IT!!!! And when you’re convinced that she’s one of the most unique recognizable female vocalists in the world ( like millions of others including myself) you may want to react to a couple of her newer songs: ( she just turned 17 the other day) like “by your voice”. I promise you if you continue to publicly react to Diana ( “Rechenka,” “Human” , “Wicked Game”, “Yodeling”...your subscriber base will go through the roof!!!! And rumor has Diana and Dimash will perform together in concert one day and when it happens I can assure you when the upcoming concert is announced, it will be SOLD OUT in less than an hour. And if I could, I would mortgage my house my kids ( just kiddin) my everything to watch them perform together in concert. I have the perfect tag line : The DI [ana] & Di [mash] Extravaganza! DI 2 Squared !!! All love in isolation from Miami Beach, Florida, Al

I know you've seen/heard more since, but that note was not in his whistle. He can't be judged by standard tenor expectations because he defies all standards. His range is so immense that he sings in every voice classification and covers the ENTIRE range of each except one (bass). However, he can sing beyond the soprano classification where his whistle takes him beyond the scope of a full range piano. He's not a tenor. He's a baritone with bass extension, a tenor, alto, mezzo/soprano, dog whistle. Each of those classifications he can sing within as though they're his natural range. Amazing/incredible is one thing, but this guy goes beyond what we think of as amazing.

I'm afraid you're a bit wrong. This song had been sung by the frontman of the band Batyrkhan Shukenov, a very popular and beloved Kazakhstan singer. He died from a heart attack. The band is called A-Studio, the man at the keyboards is the famous musician Baygali Serkebaev. The band is well-known and popular not only in Kazakhstan but in Russia and other former soviet republics. Dimash expresses his gratitude to Baygali for their contribution into music art.

That is was a fantastic reaction. You understand exactly how hard it is to perform as he just did. As for more Dimash, it kind depends if you want to check him doing duets (Question of Honor with Zarina, Ulisse with Aida Garifullina , Diva Dance with Li Yougang, just to name a few) or more operatic singing (Ogni Pietra, or even Passione), or stuff like daybreak, Daididau, Know, Love of Tired Swans, Autumn Strong, Samaltau (Tokyo Festival) or English covers like Hello, Adagio, All by Myself, or even a Pop song in "Screaming " (go with the studio version) and the movie score, Across Endless Dimensions where he shows he can do rock/metal rock (also a studio version). But there is so much more...ah, Opera 2 is such a cool song - you can see him having fun, playing with the audience while doing something otherworldly...! I love his tonality.

Great reaction! Dimash is truly a unique vocalist and storyteller! That ethnic trill was a tribute to the former singer of the band A-Studio who passed away, followed by a 25 second belt! His true range is F1 to D8 and he continues to develop and master his ranges. Dimash doesn't really pay attention to his vocal octaves, though. It's just a tool he uses. Dimash will internalize the words of a song and then use those tools to convey them and the emotion behind them to his audience.

When you do it will amaze you, he even whistles with vibrato. The gentleman who is standing at the end of the video is Igor Krutoy, you may know who he is. He is a famous composer in Russia, and was basically retired. He found Dimash and came out of retirement. He and Dimash now have a wonderful collaboration, and are making beautiful songs together. He gets tons of flowers wherever he is, concerts airports, hotels, sent to his home for his birthday, etc. He gives them to people backstage, and donates them to hospitals, extended care homes, etc. Dears even send them to his family for their birthdays and other ocassions. Igor Krutoy composed a song for Dimash, and Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics for "Your Love," which is a song composed for Dimash. Dimash sang Ulisse with Aida Guarifullina, and Ti amo cosi with Aida and Lara Fabian, at Creative evening of Igor Krutoy Jubilee. Both of those can be found on Dimash's official KZfaq channel. There is still so much more for you to discover from him, Believe it or not, he will continue to shock and surprise. Stay safe and healthy! Blessings to you! 😻

G'day!! Dimash said anyone who loves his music is like family to him and therefore is dear to his heart. That's how the global family of Dears was born. I'm in Sydney and have been following him for over 2years now.

@@shrekswife2164 thanks! I adore his music, even my husband of 35 years said he has never seen me so addicted to a singer, he likes him too and so does my son, he heard daybreak for the first time on sunday while listening to Booste'd channel from Matthew, he send me a message and said mum, i have not heard that song before and i love it!! So we are all Dimash dears, and show him to as many people as we can..... i live Brisbane..

@@Lilygirl283 nice! same here, I've never been a fan of any singer. i liked lots of singers but never in the way I'm drawn to Dimash. You're so lucky to have a family of dears around you, i'm a bit jealous! but happy jealous! I only have my sister to fan-girl with. We're both planning on being at one of his concerts next year, its a motivation for me to finish the thesis I'm working on and graduate by early next year. Seeing Dimash live would be the biggest reward ever for the last 4 years of hard work. He brings such joy with his music. Are you subscribed to his channel? if not pls don't hesitate. Today I saw on a Russian channel I sub to that he's signed up with an American producer - the company is IPZ (if memory serves me) .I hope it works out for our Dimash, he is such a sweetheart. it's really nice to know a dear in the same country I'm in! next time i'm in brissy (no idea when) we should catchup over a pot of tea:-) i better get back to work, stay safe!
