so nice to get so much information regarding vocal techniques. quiet impressive! also, how much effort is needed to create architecture to give opera a home, both in design and accoustic.

Thank you so much for your appreciation and kind commentary on all the artists I react to! It’s always such a joy seeing your comments on my videos! Yes the amount of work that goes into an operatic production is huge, that’s one of the reasons I’m so drawn to it, it uses all the artistic mediums!

Junto a Beniamino Gigli, Pavarotti es mi tenor favorito. 🙏

Freni was like a sister for Pavarotti. They grew up together This makes the atmosphere so special. And as you said his voice has so much qualities. His warm and bright timbre, his clear pronunciation, the natural interpretation of the music, his breathing technique, his perfect legato amd the volume make his voice unique. Combined with his passion for the music and his charismatic personality it's an emotional experience He lives the character and you feel it in every note.

They for sure have a special connection! He also had a wonderfully engaging personality in interviews. Such an incredible instrument! Thank you for your comments ❤️❤️

The version you reacted to is not in the original tone, It's lower, as Pavarotti got older I think he lost the ability to hit such high notes because when he was young he sang the arias in it's original tone, but when he was old he always sang them half a tone lower for some reason

Wow I didn’t notice it was a half step lower! As tenors age they do seem to have difficulty with maintaining the tessitura and begin to lower the keys of songs. Still impressive, though!

Far from his best rendering but, no one can match this singer vocally, and, that incredible unique sound.

Dear Taylor If I hadn’t got that impression before, this reaction to me proves that you kind of fill a gap with what music you present and how. While I definitly WON‘T claim any share in taking La Boheme it does feel nice to find you reacting on something I mentioned in a previous comment. It is so much fun and pleasure to dive into your content. Hope more folks will join ! I also deeply appreciate several comments I’ve read. People coming from most different kinds of music finding that there is other ‚stuff‘ one can like. Personally I like Nightwish very much (as well as Aurora, Lara Fabian, Queen, …) and think Tuomas (keys) is a somewhat ‚underrated‘ composer. The wide span of his songs (‚Ghost Love Score‘ (Wacken live), ‚Greatest Show on Earth‘ including Richard Dawkins (Tampere live), ‚Storytime‘ (Wacken live) to ‚Music‘, ‚Shoemaker‘ on Human :II: Nature album and ‚All The Work Of Nature That Adorn The World‘ including citations from Lord Byron as well as Carl Sagan just blow my mind. As do those two awesome ladies - Simone Simons and Floor Jansen - on Epica’s Retrospect concert singing ‚Sancta Terra‘ as well as Pergolesi’s ‚Stabat Mater Dolorosa‘ to a „metal-head“ crowd. See the applause of those guys for an old church-song performed in Latin. This is what I call music-enthusiasm which makes me very optimistic for real good music to survive the times of (SORRY, only my opinion) some/too much (?) „disposible music“ played up and down on various radio stations. To you all, keep and cherish your personal preferences, but perhaps be open for more and different tunes and voices. Thank you Taylor !!! Good to have you while I’ll continue to be passionate follower of the very first channel that hit me: Elizabeth’s The Charismatic Voice. Broadened my horizon. Approaching Christmas slowly and for the upcoming Advent below just a little very old song from Germany we use to sing in church as well as home in the family. Performed in Norwegian by Aurora. NOT for reaction but perhaps for a personal quiet moment in this often loud and hectic times. Stay all well ! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hqeUocx4ydSWpn0.html May be someone likes it. I do.

Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful comments!! I am a fan of Elizabeth and the charismatic voice as well, I love her reactions and insights. Yes I would agree with you that while I’ll never discount any music or artistic expression, I am not as big of a fan of what is generally played on the radio these days. Emotionally nuanced and complex music and feats of incredible vocalism are much more interesting to me personally, also music that challenges me, which is probably due to being exposed to so much when studying for my masters. I just had an urge to share that unique perspective with the world, and my thoughts on some mainstream artists (like my Ariana videos) as well for the sake of diversifying my content. So happy you are enjoying the community and liking my videos! And you were the inspiration behind me doing this particular video btw (because of your previous comment). ☺️ I work really hard to employ as many recommendations as I can, and got really excited for one of my first opera ones!

@@musiccecilia7754 Such a pleasure to get a reply like this ! Since just loving music I don't fit the exact pattern of your channel - I'm not an artist - but love being here. Guess there are tons of suggestions so I WON'T ADD ONE. Mirella Freni indeed deserved being cherished and acclaimed. Didn't know this performance. So far my favorite was kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hdF4eriSp5emo2w.html Loved Fiamma's "Si, mi chiamano Mimi" and 'Pav' of cause. Thanks for introducing me/us to the performance you chose. Best wishes and take your time. Quality doesn't come in a hurry.

@@christianmeyer6724 Freni is such a gem for sure! And I love the soprano arias in La Boheme as well and am currently studying the role of Musetta right now. Thank you for your kind words, I am so glad you are enjoying the videos!

@@musiccecilia7754 Thanks, thats interesting. I meanwhile found the 'Opera Cecilia' page. Being born on Christmas Eve I'm very interessted in the announced Messiah By Candlelight performance just 1 day ahead. Regarding your time-zone it will already be 24th in Germany. Early but what a start into birthday. Will check closer how that works to participate. Have a nice sunday.
