Күн бұрынOpera GX made a pretty dumb mistake and it resulted in people generating an infinite amount of Discord Nitro promotion codes.
But what is the mistake that lets people get these codes? And how many can you generate at a time? Well it turns out there are increasingly more nerdy ways to generate more and more free nitro codes. And surprisingly, I know how to do it. Now while this is all fun and games and is primarily just to satiate your curiosity, DO NOT MASS ABUSE THIS PROMOTION. Opera GX and Discord might get a bit cranky.
Also, if you're just trying to get a free nitro promotion, make sure to not have the full $10 nitro in the last 12 months and make sure to have valid payment info.

UPDATE: Given how many people are trying to do this, a lot has happened. First, you need to change the "partnerUserId" each time you generate a code (there are some hidden requirements to filter out idiots). If you don't change it, you will still get a code but it will be "half working". It'll show up as a valid code, but when you try to redeem it, it will say "NOPE". Second, I was going to test more of this, but my insomnia craps out. Either everyone is hammering the heck outta this thing or there were some silent changes. And tbh as time moves on, this will slowly be shut down and restricted more and more. I expect a lot of this to be non-functional within the end of the week. HOWEVER, you can still redeem nitro like a normie. Just don't expect to be generating hundreds to thousands of codes when this video is more than a couple days old.

To be completely honest, the ccp already has most of your information. They have big companies like Tencent that have investments in almost every chat platform and gaming service including discord, so you should really not be worried about having the ccp know what websites you go on. 7:00 - you could pay 2x$5=$10 for 2x5=10 boosts, or you could pay 1x$10 for only 7 boosts. Same with the $15 option (14 instead of 15).

When you pause at the second he inspects the Claim Now button you see the name of the font is "ABC Ginto Nord Unlicensed Trial" - it looks like someone (OperaGX) did not license their font... :D

😳 I'm picturing that the trial period was long enough that it could just be used for the promo page. I checked their licence agreement for the trial font and, like a lot of other commercially available fonts I come across, it's basically a version of the font with a limited character set that would be good enough for a preview, especially with the intention being to use in something like design roughs/previews or on a development Web server. Requesting trial fonts from ABC Dinamo (the foundy that published that font) also requires putting in contact and company info like is typical for what I've seen with adverts from companies that serve other companies (B2B / business to business), so they would know. The Discord logo and the display font on their website uses a modified version of Ginto Nord called "Ginto Discord", so it would make sense that the trial version of Ginto Nord would be used just on Opera's promo page to try and match up with Discord's design system/language.

Firefox with a useragent spoofer almost works, too -- you just need to create the function opr.statsPrivate.recordSessionEvent(a, b, c) in the console so that the script doesn't crash.

Opera probably could've coded their promo page to use Opera accounts as a means of verification so that each account could only receive one promo code. I assume that they had since fixed the loophole that was shown in this video, though.

having some sort of verification would've made this substantially better, however it was something they chose not to do (which was ignorant IMO but idk), and the fact that they didn't at least use some sort of IP tracker (altho iirc opera has a built in VPN anyways so??) to ensure that something from the same IP address couldn't access the claim again however there's still workarounds to that like VPNs / coding something to make the IP switch up occasionally. alongside the loophole still works despite the 12 hours this video has been up for so I almost wonder how long until opera / discord say something on social media lmao

To claim the month of nitro you now need to include financial details and sign up for nitro, cancel after the first month like all other subscription services.

update: apparently this has been patched already as the claim button doesnt do anything even after changing the browser agent another side note is that you can also just change your browser agent to think youre on opera without having to install opera gx lol

Doesen't work anymore if it did, the button unlocks but clicking it fails. Seems their browser has extra code that non-gx browsers don't have to check as well.

Oh, I didn't know. When I watched the video and did all the steps, I was so confused because the "Claim Now!" button didn't work for me. I kept on clicking it and nothing happened. Credit cards arent hard to make as you can create virtual cards and then cancel them. You wont need to cancel subscriptions and can have up to 10 cards active at a time with the free services for vcards. I dont know how many cards you can make and cancel at one time but 10 is just under 14 so you only need 2 accounts with virtual cards for level 3 and a little bit extra for a month.

You can generate as many links as you want, but you can only activate 1 of them. The direct-fulfillment request has a (hashed) UUID in its body and only 1 link per UUID can be used. You have to use a different UUID in each request.

what the fuck? why did they not limit the requests to 1 per ip, how did they mess up that badly? it's impressive honestly EDIT: There are better ways to block the same person from getting multiple nitro subscriptions, I just said "limit the IP" because that's the first thing that came to my mind. VPNs and Proxies do exist and would bypass that IP limit, but it would at least make it harder for people to generate multiple links (sure, you could get like 5 or 10, but good luck replicating 144k with that). The main problem with IP blocking is that it would block people who have the same IP and would be ineffective against dynamic IPs (which most people have)

Actually, discord limits subscriptions per payment method, so after the 3rd time redeeming from the same card / paypal, it won't let you do more. (Even for paid nitro)

UPDATE: After 4 days of trying various ways, generating new tokens, and even changing the partner id, it didn't work, it seems that they corrected it, or there was a specific number of gifts, or the links were overloaded

I think it'd be funny if someone were to make a bot to generate working codes and immediately discard them, because eventually the promo system would fail to work because every conceivable code would be marked as 'already generated'

Big flaw in your plan. The amount of permutations are too many for any physically possible amount of devices to accomplish this and discord can just change how the codes are generated if they are finished.

GX is a data-scalping browser. By virtue of using it, they’re getting any info you send. Switching to something like brave or librewolf would be a bit better.

While this is still is neat, looking from a developer's side, you're not really harming anyone. When push comes to shove, Opera will only be billed for their promotion if these tokens are used, and valid payment data is associated with the account It's not like these tokens in and of itself are Nitro memberships Unless you’re buying 140k PayPal accounts or are willing to commit credit card fraud, you’re buying 140k lines of junk. Still this promotion has achieved its goal
