Fascinating interview, Dodge. I could listen to Damien's stories for hours. I've read a few of his books and have another couple in the queue. I don't know how he remembers all the names?! I wish I'd been more adventurous in my life. He might be the guy I need to ask for advice about visiting Lagos to see where I was born 🤔.

As someone in the know - I can tell you there are many, many more stories like this that may never be told and as amazing as they are, for me personally I think its better that they stay that way. Not all SF are the same and this is why the British SAS is respected so highly - that's no disrespect to any others, far from it. Now... what an amazing podcast, you've bloody well hit the target again, everytime I compliment on a podcast of yours and think 'he has hit the ceiling with this one', you pull another out the hat. Please keep them coming.

As for Damien Lewis, lost for word’s, an amazingly brave and talented Guy. And an amazingly talented interviewer, looking forward to more, some 📚 to get now!, just Subscribed, from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, all the best for ‘24’🥃.

@@danielflannigan223 I've read a fair few, they are all good, fascinating reads. The ww2 SAS are amazing books, but I started with one, a bit more recent "Zero Six Bravo". Fantastic read, SBS and other SF operating in Iraqi, 2003. Great true story. A good one to kick off I would say. If you'd rather ww2, maybe "SAS Band of Brothers: The Last Stand of the SAS and Their Hunt for the Nazi Killers". Another incredible true story. Enjoy !

I would urge anyone to read about Mazar Al Sharif, mentioned around the 50 min mark, the SBS and our US brothers fought like lions, there is footage of it online. RIP Johnny Mike Spann, he was only 32 when he died and left behind a loving family and children.
