Really interesting., took a minute to realize you were setting it back up to use with the new system. Sure a lot safer than having to constantly climb up on those windmills fore basic maintenance. Great video, thanks for taking the time to share.

That brings back memories, or nightmares. I was jackarooing on Bunna Bunna station in FW NSW back in the day, and we did a few windmill fan repairs and pulling pumps etc, as you said it always blew when I had to get up and tie off fan. Not so much fun I recall.😂

Its probably cumbersome, but if working alone up a tower, please consider wearing a safety harness.

What sort of fool would take down an Australian icon windmill and replace it with solar power ...you have to come from Esperance.. The windmill would still be working after solar has died !

Yeah exactly. We should just wait for the wheel to come off and crush them pesky tank or solar panels or one of the hands. Pulling rods is dangerous and time consuming. Fuck the windmill
