The Papageno/Papagena Duet from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute).
Papageno (Edward Jowle) can hardly believe his eyes when he is reunited with his perfect match, Papagena (Sofia Kirwan-Baez). The pair are overjoyed and look forward to making a family filled with little Papagenos and Papagenas.
The Royal College of Music’s new production sets The Magic Flute in a secondary school and a dreamscape of hidden desires. As director Polly Graham explains, this is the perfect backdrop for protagonists who are ‘on the cusp of sexual awakening, grappling with big intellectual ideas, and at a place in their lives where things happen for the first time, and where interactions with adults can be fraught.’ Michael Rosewell conducts a wealth of young talent on stage and in the pit - all not so long out of school themselves.

This is the best version of this song I can find on KZfaq, it just blows all the others out of the water. Not only is their singing INCREDIBLE but the way they bring such emotion through their voices and in their facial expressions, makes their love story so tangible. Cutest thing ever

I love how it starts off as a kind of courtship as if the they are calling to one another like birds. Just love it! Geniale des Mozarts!

Mozart certainly was a genius, but he didn't come up with that scene. It was Schikaneder - a genius in his own right.

Fun fact: this aria is an ode to Antonio Salieri's Cucuzze from his opera Prima la musica e poi le parole. Yes, the man who tried to poison Mozart according to (the plot of the movie) Amadeus.

興味深い演出。 (´・∀・) パパパって、グレタさんの最近の演説でブラブラブラみたいな表現使ってたのと同じニュアンス？日本語だとベラベラベラ。私が数年前、ご学友ならぬ娯楽有害コネ入社餅肌女について「仕事中に、法の精神無視して、お得で楽な法の悪用抜け穴探しの私語ベラベラベラうっせーんだよ。マスクしとけよ。」の本音を抑えこみ。爆発して、あちこちにベラベラベラみたいな用法。闇と光は反転するね。パパ芸能、パパ迎合、パパゲイなの？そのとき置かれた状況や気分によって、聞こえるニュアンスが異なる。
