‘A Fair Judgment’ is the Opeth song you’re looking for at this point. It has zero harsh vocals, very heavy, very groovy, very catchy riffs, one of my favorite Metal guitar solos of all time resides within it. I know you dig metal drummers and Martin Lopez is as always top notch in it. I can not recommend it enough I really think this is the one for you guys.

Please react to Leprous! They're a Norwegian progessive metal band that is insane. Every member is amazing, but their singer and drummer are on another level. Opeth is my fav band so I'm stoked everytime you do a reaction of them, thank you! Some things I would like to say: In Cauda Venenum was originally written with swedish vocals, Mikael said it is the original and best version, and that he did an english version as well for fans that might not enjoy this change. So you might want to Svekets Prins a listen! (the swedish version of Dignity). Counting this album, their last four records have no growls or harsh vocals, they are progressive rock and not progressive death metal. I recommend anything from the Pale Communion album if you want some Opeth like this, which it's still amazing even if different. The Damnation album also has no growls even when they released that album in their "death metal" era. (Moon above sun below and Windowpane are great songs from these two albums) One last suggestion/request if you want a cool mix of everything Opeth can do, soft and harsh vocals, melodic and heavy music: Harlequin Forest, probably my fav Opeth song. Anyways if you read all this thank you very much guys and sorry for the long post, given that you started to like Opeth more I just wanted to "guide" or help you a little, cheers!

Luv watching you guys. I only started exploring reaction vids of music a week ago and you guys hands down kill it no matter the genre. I'm surprised you guys haven't done a Cradle of Filth song. Nyphetamine Fix is hands down their biggest song. It would also be something a little different than the other metal songs you've covered. Keep up the great work!

My first listen to Opeth, a very good song. Will definitely listen to more of their songs. I agree on the slow middle part of the song sounds a bit like Seal --- the section of the song where he sings --- "I've been kissed by a rose on the grey" with the melody at 9:30 to 9:36 of your video. Couldn't make out all the words but the same melody is there. Enjoy your reactions, both of you give an honest opinion to what you are listening to, and whether I agree or not with your opinion gotta respectyour opinion. And how both of you interact with each other during the video is good conversation to listen to.

I'm very glad Opeth managed to snag your attention. I've been following your channel since the early Metal days. I remember your first Opeth. Hell I remember when you were not at first understanding/vibing with Prog. I've watched your ears adapt and grow. I get it. That is what a lot of this music requires. I was very happy when I saw how you guys reacted to Blackwater Park. Being a big Opeth and Dream Theater fan that was a tough call. As to Opeth. I respect their new things quite a bit and they are insanely creative. I often think they need a time machine as some of their newer stuff sounds to me like it could be easily transplanted into the Prog scenes from the late 60s and early 70s. I tend to enjoy their albums from Watershed and earlier more. Reverie/Harlequin Forest is still probably the song of theirs I tend to get the jones to listen to more often. They have so many great songs. You also at the end hit on something important. If you are getting too much same ol' same ol' sound... Opeth is never that. Their songs to me are still very much like consuming a five course meal. In this case if I were to take your reaction. Here is your course of Seal, followed by your course of Rocker, followed by your course of Elton John, etc. :) Always a journey. Thanks for still keeping your channel interesting and exploring.

That's one of the things that frustrates me most about the community around this channel: it's supposed to be "recommend the most accessible songs from your favorite band so that these guys can get into the band and their sound," NOT "request your favorite song from a band you like." That's why you have dummies going "Bleed by Meshuggah plz!!" when these dudes were just getting into metal and their obvious reaction of "wtf is this?? No thanks."

Devin Townsend - The Mighty Masturbator needs to be done sooooooooooo badly. 16+ minutes of 8 different melodies and just pure bliss. That said, Michael blew his vocals out so he lost the ability to go hard on vocals like he used to do with early Opeth and Bloodbath. He's doing growls once again but it's maybe 70% of what it once was and you can tell that it's so hoarse and strained as if he's new to doing vocals as a whole rather than a 20+ year veteran with such a wide range and command of his regular and false vocal chords. Not to mention this version of Opeth was Michael's true vision that he wanted to go for.
