Hearing him speak about how he thought some Metallica/Megadeth bass lines seemed almost impossible to play to him as a kid actually gives a a bit of hope that maybe one day I’ll be even half as good as he is. For now, though, I’ll just have to keep practicing... a lot.

Actually if you listen to demon of the fall at the roundhouse tapes, before the song akerfeldt introduces the band and he said THE LEGEND FROM MONTEVIDEO URUGUAY, MARTIN MENDEZ!!!!!!!!! and the crowd goes fuckin wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@LemonG08 He is Uruguayan!! from Montevideo!! yiibuu!! Go Uruguay!! and Martin Lopez is Swedish but son of Uruguayan parents.

I think its interesting that he barely remembers his first song. I remember the first song i could play, Fell on Black Days - Soundgarden. he does remember his first metal song though. and really thats all that matters :)

lol, what's wrong with these interviews? first I watched the one with Mikael and a chair fell down, now in the one with Martin it sounded as if a window broke. Haunted House, somehow^^
