Opeth live at Amager Bio in Copenhagen Denmark on the 26th of june 2024, their first gig in about a year and a half.
Opening act was Green Carnation (NOR) but they cut their set short due to one of the member why had a medical issue :(

I did not expect such a heavy focus on the 1998-2008 era but whatever they pulled out, i would be pleased. But my favorite albums are in the golden 10 years!

This legendary band somehow, inadvertently and unexpectedly changed the criteria for evaluating all types of contemporary musicians of their time, cleaned up the then world sound iconostasis, to force these same musicians to measure their talents and irreversibly their ability to surprise their environment 🥸

No problem, it was a great show! But its always somewhat of a workout session to film Opeth songs with your hands up to get a good angle 😂 but worth it!

Yeah and Mikael was on fire when talking as usual. Judas Priest played Copenhagen at the same time as Opeth, so he said ” WHY T F ARE YOU HERE??” And basicaly that himself and all of us were idiots for not watching Judas Priest instead of Opeth 😂

No new songs played, but he talked about working in the studio, but i cant remember if he gave any more details. Lots of talk about Mikaels house renovations and that the drummer from Tribulation rebuilt his balcony (since he is a carpenter when not playing music) 😂
