Am at the senior level in Ophthalmology Residency training and in the exact spot of making decision for a subspecialty. This video came in handy vis-a-vis the choice of paediatric Ophthalmology subspecialty. I shall give it a deep thought. Thanks very much!

Way back in my first bio class (8th-grade year) I did a project on genetic diseases. Specifically a specific 'strain/type' of Glaucoma. I thought I wanted to be a geneticist (work in a lab, etc), and maybe I still do. Although, after watching this I am having second guesses on what I should go into. ha

I am looking for some help. I have one watery eye. Has been going on for 13 months. Have been prescribed steroid drops by a optometrist and 2 rounds of antibiotics by an ophthalmologist. It keeps coming back. I would like any suggestions as to what is causing it.
@DrAdnan
@DrAdnan 4 жыл бұрын
I’d recommend seeing an ophthalmologist again (if you’re not satisfied with the current one, perhaps another one) since that’s their specialty. I’m not qualified enough to answer, and don’t have the in-person exam info to even have a decent guess compared to them.

Very informative video. I have a job interview next week for a vacancy called'' Ophthalmic Science Practitioner'' and I want to know whether is the job role of ''Ophthalmic Science Practitioner'' same as Ophthalmologist? Thanks
@DrAdnan
@DrAdnan 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! No, an ophthalmologist is a specialized physician that requires going through medical school and a specialty program while an ophthalmic science practitioner is more of a scientist with shorter/fewer training requirements
