I can't figure out why but everyone seems happy in this clip. The conversation flows naturally, no jokes got stepped on and no shells got walked on.

They tell childhood stories that you only hear from these two. The honesty and relatability is so down to earth.

It's so relaxing not having to follow the flow of the conversation through a bombardment of sound effects, phone calls and "steering"

I am 38 now, but I was in college in 2005 I remember buying an XM radio because I had started delivering newspapers overnight. When I first started listening to the show by accident, I never changed it back. Every night I would listen to the replay in full from that day. If I was going anywhere midday and I heard part of the show I would change the channel because I would be excited to listen to it at night as I went to go get my papers. Years later, now I find myself looking for long bits and full episodes and I end up listening to them like their new while I'm working around the house or taking a long trip, when it's one you haven't heard in a long time you get that vibe again like it was really happening live. At the time, I remember me and my buddy and my father all liked listening to Stern but once we started listening to O+A I couldn't go back. I had my wow stickers, I used to love when they would crash Howard's press conferences or get on the news with virus signs, I was really backing it thinking this was going to be the biggest show in the country and I believed it was headed that way in the early XM days. To me, the sweet spot was right there from 2004 to about 2008. That was during the virus tour days, when you would routinely have Patrice and Burr and Kelly on the show. They don't think it would work, but if you actually put the three of them in a room together, for enough money I have to imagine they would do it again. Jim and Anthony still have it, you would just need Opie to dial it back in " steer the ship " again.

I can't believe they never tried to get Buzz on the phone after all those years. Maybe Anthony told them off the air to not do it.
