I got a Bot fly in my arm 3 yrs ago while looking at Mayan ruins in the far south of Mexico. About 2 weeks later, I was instructed to wrap a raw slab of steak around the periscope. Within a few hours, the bot fly burrowed upward into the piece of meat, and I threw the fucker into the fire.

David Miller I can't blame you for seizing a golden opportunity to make such a jab. If you are convinced, as I assume you are, that a right-of-center government is most effective, then of course you're going to say that. The man is enormously popular in that state, though. But yeah, if you're under the laughable impression that he's some sort of Marxist that is going to set up a planned economy, of course you're going to be hostile to him. +Matthew Herzog Well, for the most part, we're spoiled up here in the US. The botflies up here are equine parasites. Dermatobia Hominis (human bot fly) ranges from southern Mexico all the way down thru Uruguay. I had the displeasure of hosting one in my arm after coming back from Chiapas, Mexico, and never heard of em prior to that. On the plus side, I built up a tolerance to this kind of mental torture, and only winced maybe once or twice throughout this vid.
