The staff (most of them) have brought in their most embarrassing older tapes of themselves. Travis has a PSA, Erock has his 1st time on the radio, Roland has an appearance he made on Carson Daly's show and both Troy & Sam rap...not together. Sam's mother gets to hear Sam's rap for the 1st time.

Sucks to be them, FNM is an amazing band with a solid discography when Mike Patton took over on vocals. Anthrax should be credited with the whole Rap/Metal thing anyway. Bring the Noise was a full-fledged crossover.

I think I had 3 of their CDs. I liked them too, but just don't see many people know who they are. I was into Anthrax back then too and they certainly did bring that first. Wasn't the Run DMC/Aerosmith "Walk This Way" before that though? Not actually metal, but still it was huge and was an influence. Some places actually called Aerosmith "metal" back then I remember too when we didn't have 6 million genres like we do now after Napster blew up the music world. Great metal era back then with a lot of thrash and speed metal. Big names that got publicity, although Anthrax wasn't quite as big as Metallica, Megadeth, etc. they got a lot of play on MTV around that time for those songs. Megadeth didn't hit until Holy Wars came out mainstream though. We actually got real metal on Headbanger's Ball back then. They actually played music on MTV and I recorded HB almost every week. . xD I saw Anthrax in concert once. Saw Metallica about 4 times. Saw them once with Suicidal Tendencies and that was the only time I saw them not solo. Missed out on the Metallica w/ Guns n' Roses tour. I think I mellowed out on metal about the time Pantera was dying off. Crossover metal/rap kind of sucks listening back a bit imo, but there was some decent stuff. Then it was into the crap with Cop Killer by Ice T's band Body Count before he played a cop on Tv. That was straight going after the crossover fad right there. right at the height of it and rap becoming part of white America more. Then we ended up with Limp Bizkit (Saw them with Korn once and Korn destroyed them as their opener) and a few other rock bands coming out that way, but Body Count was pretty much the only big rap side band like that I can remember. My friends and I still laugh about that one song by them though and sing it for jollies. "My friend's addicted to coacaiiiine. Smoked day and night and drove ma and pa insane." Fuckign hilarious.

Sam's tape is so horrendous it should be preserved to show future generations our greatest mistakes so that they can learn to never repeat them.
