Deterrents exist for a reason because people can be savage. The same way we have nukes to act as a deterrent, harsh punishments are supposed to make you think twice before committing evil acts against innocence.

@@SWIFTzTrigger You got a point, as I have always believed that the US and the west in general would be much more peaceful and polite societies if the death penalty was enforced as given in the laws of Noah and the Bible, Al- Injeel, as that is the best deterrent of crime and evil of men. I will say that many views, aspects and laws of the Muslims are similar to mine and the laws prescribed in the Bible, which I must follow as commanded. You are right about the nukes and Mutually Assured (M.A.D.) Destruction being a great deterrent, and the same goes for Biblical and Quranic laws and commands. Following teachings like the ten commandments and the Noahide Laws are a great way to live a peaceful life with the rest of society, even in God is taken out of it. I will say that I respect the Muslims more than any other religion, for their reverence of Christ and his Holy Mother Maryam.
