I reflect on this day in Manhattan and am immediately overwhelmed with sadness for those who lost loved ones under such horrific circumstances. Knowing that their last moments on Earth were spent gasping for air, or choosing to jump rather than burn alive is so incredibly disturbing and sad that its truly hard to comprehend. 9 guys from FDNY on East 85th st were lost - and just that is extremely hard to reconcile. Thank you for the upload and emotional rewind *RIP JIOHN P O'NEILL*

The western world needed to drastically change immigration and visa laws and the media needed to step up and tell the truth. Now you see terror attacks being labeled as things such as being by “Asian men” and we need tolerance above all else. We also needed to get in and out faster. The cleanup was handled well

@VCPRPressingIssues2 жыл бұрын
I've heard people say Norton caused a rift between Opie and Anthony by filling the spot Opie took before, I'm coming more and more around to that conclusion. WNEW Opie is vastly better than XM/Sirius Opie.
@ME-bw3rl Жыл бұрын
Interesting. I haven't seen enough shows without Jimmy. I assumed younger Opie was simply better. You can't deny Jimmy brought the funny.
@NothingToPointOut24 Жыл бұрын
It is. But unfortunately for radio personalities, you cant have a 9/11 event to talk about everyday. O&A was shock jock radio around this time. Funny but it got old quick on most days. Norton added a different dimention that Opie supposedly wanted because him and Ant were getting tired of each other. Opie didnt resent Norton until prob 2008 or so when he started to drift away from being 3rd mic and taking on more of a co-host role and was able to discuss more newsworthy topic instead of throwing poker chips at girls and breaking Sandy Kane's guitar. If Opie had his way, 90's shock jock radio would still be a thing today. Thank god its not.

She was right though. Just had 20 years of war where we have achieved literally nothing and lost thousands of servicemen for nothing. Invading Iraq and Afghanistan when Bin Laden was in Pakistan the entire time. 15 of the 19 were Saudi, 2 from UAE, 1 was Egyptian and 1 was Lebanese. 15 plus Bin Laden were Saudi and Al-Qaeda was funded by the Saudi’s. No Iraqis or Afghans. A total waste of 20 years and hundreds of thousands of lives.

At the very least, they knew it was gonna happen. They had specific warnings that bin Laden wanted to attack the WTC. Plus, five Israelis were arrested in New Jersey for standing on a roof dancing and cheering as the towers were attacked and they were there before the first plane hit. Turns out they were all Mossad agents and when arrested one told the cops that “we’re just here to document the event”. They knew.
