Tatsulok is a pretty socio-politically charged song. Tatsulok means triangle. The chorus says, as long as there's a triangle and they're on top, the struggle will never end (habang may tatsulok at sila ang nasa tuktok, hindi matatapos itong gulo)
@crisramos940

It was written by the same composer (Rom Dongeto) and originally sung by the same folk duo (Buklod) as the song “Kanlungan”, which you’ve also reacted to a long time ago.

The tatsulok or triangle means the social classes in the Philippines; upper tip represents the (very) few upper class ang the vast base of the triangle represents the lower class (workers and peasants).

Narda is the mortal identity of a Superhero called "Darna", which is written and conceptualized in the 1930's and published in the 40's. The comic author, Mars Ravelo, said that the superhero is actually inspired by Superman. Basically, she's his female counterpart. Most people compare her to Wonderwoman because she's the most similar hero from her. Edit: Currently, the new generation Darna is being aired, and already in its first week today. The celebrity who plays the role is Jane De Leon, which is a very refreshing artist. Hope you'd be interested in watching it on your own time.

Tagalog is very consonant rich and, as you said, glottal that it gives texture to songs like beatbox to acapellas. I started feeling the influence of alternative rock in the mid 90s with the Eraserheads and Parokya ni Edgar, almost the same time as Alanis Morissette started hitting the airwaves. Kitchie Nadal was of another level vocally and lyrically back then. Still am a fan. San Miguel Beer and Red Horse are the famous brands of beer here. And the song "Beer" reminds me of the Manila Sound era of music from the 70s up 'til early 80s which i think merits your reaction. 😎

Dadalhin is my favorite Regine and Ogie song. The lyrics are so heartbreaking and devastating, and Regine fully understands the meaning of the song. Her choices fit perfectly with the lyrics. Her singing choice sounds like a plea or a cry which is exactly what the lyrics are trying to say.

This song has been sung by Regine a million times but you’ll never hear her sing it the same way. She always puts some extra spices every single time. This version may be close to the original/studio version in terms of the rhythm, but her added flairs always make it sound different from the original.

For the record, as a Filipino, no one can beat Aegis as powerful vocals as them. Up until now, their songs are always on the line especially when it sang by talented singers here in the Philippines who can reach their range. They are OPM Rock Icons. Even professional celebrity' singers or non celebrity, know how powerful Aegis are vocally. They are like a beast in singing. They swallowed the microphone even the audience. Hehe.. Jaw-dropping vocals. Insane like no other 🔥🔥

If you will see Bamboo live, you are in for a blast. Tatsulok literally in english is "triangle". But in that song, it refers to pyramid of social injustice wherein the well-off and the rich get all the justice in their favor as compared to the poor. This is Bamboo's politically charged song. 🤘

Grew up listening to songs from Hale, Eraserheads, Rivermaya, Orange & lemon, Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Callalily, 6cyclemind, Sponge Cola, Silent Sanctuary, MYMP, Sugarfree, APO Hiking Society, Siakol. It's an era where songs are properly written and most likely talk about societal issues and life growing up in the Philippines. You can barely fetch wisdom from songs written these days and most likely glorify being miserable that set the new generation into depression. But surely there are new band/artists these days who still value good song writing and really have a good intent to even alleviate our daily misery through music.

Tatsulok (Triangle/pyramid) was written during the dark period of the Phillipines when our country was under a tyrant. It talks about kids/ teens getting desaparecidos /kidnapped by government forces/ wrongfully accused of being a communist and extrajudiciarily killed(murdered)/ vilified. It also talks about social inequality where politicians and their capitalist cronies can get away with human rights abuses and plunder because they can afford justice and law enforcement. This song had even been "red tagged" before it was popularized by bamboos cover decades later.

Hi Waleska and Efra! You are both delightful and entertaining to watch. You bring so much joy to us! We appreciate all your efforts, your insights and technical knowledge. Would be awesome to see you guys react to The Juans’ reaction to Regine Velasquez-Alcasid’s cover of the song, “Istorya”.. keep up the excellent work!

Narda is a Filipino heroin (fictional character) who has super powers and can fly, hence the lines "tumalon kaya Ako sa bangin, para lang iyong sagipin, ito Ang tanging paraan para mayakap ka = should I jump off a cliff for u to save me, it's the only way I can hug u" ..it's basically a love song from an ordinary man to a heroin busy saving the world.

Beer was so, so popular, that even my 4-5 years old brother in 2008 who didn't know how to read the lyrics yet, already memorized this song in his head and was very in tune while singing this in karaoke during the "inuman" session of our father and our neighbors' fathers. Hahaha

You've heard of 'Same Ground' because of Moira and 4 of Spades cover up in Wish too, its just that their take of the same is really unique and catchy than the one Kitchie did in this video and its really short because they tried to mash up two songs in same take which is 'Same ground' and 'Bulong'.

There was actually an Acoustic season in the Philippines and it includes Nina. Please also check out MYMP, Aiza(Ice), Freestyle, Nyoy Volante, Jimmy Bondoc and Paolo Santos. They ruled this acoustic era.

I have something for you guys to react. "With a smile (live) by The Eraserheads" . The Eraserheads was the biggest band here in the PH during the 90's. This particular song was created and dedicated to children with terminal illness, and or to the people that can relate because it's very relatable. Thank you for your time and please don't stop making interesting videos!
