Cinema is a business. Everything is under written contracts. Contracts are subjected to laws/ acts. Any dispute in the contract is examined as per laws by the Courts and decision will be given. Mr. Thyagarajan is the only person who has highlighted this aspect . Others are discussing personality issues of Ilayaraja rather than legal issues involved. Courts are concerned with the legality not personality.

You are absolutely correct. Most of the so-called interviewers have not analysed this issue from a legal perspective, thus exhibiting their ignorance . I believe that this issue is blown out of proportion by those who dislike IR's pro Modi stand. What they conveniently ignore is that they insult a legend whose value is not known to them. Unfortunate indeed.

Pls hear Muktha Ravi sir interview, He too was Great Famous Producer , He clearly says , Raja sir has taken lesser money + sometimes no money + Copyrights fr that Album , All producers that tym wanted Raja Sir n hav signed fr the agreement. He should have produced his music on his own time and dime but he was contracted. This is like a day late and dollar short situation. If it’s not in the contract he might not get his rights. This is not unique to Tamil. We see this here right now with Tyler swift where she had to re-record all her songs coz the original rights is owned by someone else.
