My husband got this phone last week after being introduced to it by a member of staff from EE, after he got his, I upgraded early to get one too!! love it. Just need to work out how to take great photos with our new phones..

I got one too. 256gb storage, expandable also, headphone jack, beautiful OLED display and runs really smooth and has 90hz display. Didn't know what I would think of color OS. But actually it's really simple and boy is it customizable. You can do anything on it. It's great fun to use. The camera is good too with a dedicated night mode. It's a terrific phone for the price

How could I forget to mention the battery life. Its amazing, and the charging, it's super super fast. All for 319 pounds. It's a steal!

Hello Jay Just watched your review of this phone as I have just ordered it - coming tomorrow. I have been an iphone user for years but had to get out that price bracket. Can you tell me will it be fairly easy to put everything on my iphone onto the new Oppo 5X Lite? Is it something like taking my sim out of iphone and putting in the Opppo and does it talk me through what I need to do. Just a bit nervous about this as I dont want to lose anything. I think I was told to use something called Phone Clone? Any help or advice you can give me would be really appreciated. Your review is excellent by the way. Thank you. Chrissy.

I've got the oppo x3 neo and it's so much better than any Samsung or iPhone out there. I can upgrade next spring/summer I'm gonna have some tough decisions to make with Google pixel now making strides as well.

From a personal point of view Google pixels lose out because Color OS/oxygenOS is just so much more practical for everyday use. (Having had a OnePlus 6 for 4-5 years, I simply could not fault it until it died through sheer abuse..!)

I'm not much of a mobile gamer but I'm after this phone for taking pictures/videos (mainly at gigs/concerts), watching videos on KZfaq, using social media, etc - would you say it's good for that, also do you find the phone quite big & cumbersome to use or do you get used to it after awhile? I've seen it for £249.99 in ARGOS & am thinking of going for it

Pictures and videos are great on this phone and does perform well in low light situations. Definitely good for social media, KZfaq, entertainment like Netflix too as the screen is so vibrant! I’ve not found the phone to be too big personally! £249.99 is a bargain for what you get from this phone 👍🏻👍🏻

I might be going to buy one but I'm not sure because my current phone is complete trash when comes to making videos the sound quality is awful but the video is quite good so I'm a bit afraid that one is going to be bad as well in recording. In your personal experience with that one would you say the sound quality on the videos is good?

Definitely no issues with the speaker quality on this phone. It’s not brilliant but definitely does the job fine :)

After having iPhones since the very first one I became disillusioned with the price so got this . How big can I go on the sad card and is it worth doing ? I did go into the shop to get the x5 pro but the salesman told me to get this

Hi. Is this phone a 4g 256gb phone and does it have a 3 slot tray for 2 separate sim cards AND A 3RD SLOT FOR THE sd card thank you. Gerard

Hi, great question! Yes the slot tray can take 2 SIM cards and an SD card , on one side you will see the two SIM card slots and on the other side of the tray is where you insert the SD card , it’s all attached to the same tray 👍🏻

Speakers are great for a phone to be honest! , low light situations for the camera are good too it won’t let you down at a concert 👍🏻

Oppo Find X5 Lite or Samsung A33 or A 53 or OnePlus Nord or OnePlus 9. I am just going nuts past 5-6 months, can't settle which one should I go for.

I’ve not used the One plus phones however I liked the Oppo Find X5 Lite better than both of the Samsung devices you mentioned, the Find X5 Lite definitely performs way better!

@@TechJayUK Yes, I'm leaning towards X5 Lite too for its sleek design and light weight but it is unusually high priced compared to what it's packing inside - Dimensity 900 which is far inferior to competitors in that price range including OnePlus Nord 2 and Samsung A53.

How is the speakerphone on this? I'm considering buying it, but must know this first. I have a Samsung S10 which has an abysmal speakerphone/microphone on calls, people can't hear me well on the other end even on a regular call, let alone when I put it on speaker and move the phone away from my head. I have to hold the phone close to my my mouth on speakerphone which defeats the purpose and even then the caller can't hear me clearly. I had a Sony and LG before, both had brilliant speakerphones, I could put the phone down meters away walk around and talk and the person on the other end could still hear me very well. So how does the speakerphone on the Oppo X5 lite measure up?

Speakerphone on this phone is good - definitely no issues , i could hear fine and the person i called could hear me fine from having it on speakerphone with it on a desk and me standing up talking :)

Good to hear! 100% blown away with the performance. Normally phones with ‘lite’ in the name mean lower performance but this performs up there with some of the best smartphones on the market for sure.

@@TechJayUK Only "issue" is it's colour os 12 layered on android 11. (12/11) My X2 lite just got 12/12 and my X3 lite has run on android 12 for ages and just got an upgrade to colour os 12.1. Weird.

Same. I wasn't expecting that much. I was attracted to certain features of the Oppo 5 lite including 256gb storage, expandable storage, headphone jack and the OLED display which looks terrific in person. Having the option to use 90hz is great too. The super fast charging is mesmerizing. Not to mention the battery life, its a two day phone for me. I was sceptical about Color OS. But I love it, so customizable and easy to use. Super impressed with the phone, has far exceeded my expectations. The stereo speakers are also awesome. The best of it is, this is the lite model. I have to keep reminding myself because its so good.I got it new for 319 pounds. Its a steal

@@Victoria-sm1sj Agreed! Don't think it's got stereo speakers. Just one down-firing speaker. Anyway the sound quality using earbuds is awesome. I don't need wireless charging, had that on an LG G7 and it heats the battery up...too much. Also don't need IP rating (Ingress protection). Keep your phone away from water, moisture, condensation! Still can't fault it. Other phones at the same price point don't have 8-13GB ram or 256 ROM or 2 SIM slots or expandable storage or a headphone jack to name just a few features. It's also cheap enough to replace each year. Got the X2, X3 and X5 lite. Have to wait till Feb 23 to see what upgrades next model in series brings. Keep up the good work Oppo!

They are definitely making big movements in the phone market! And I would 100% say they will be big competition for the bigger brands after using this phone. Fraction of the price, and better or similar specs 👍🏻
