Tbf when I got my first game of 40k I tabled my opponent... We both didn't know what was happening, but boy did I fall in love with plasma supercharged.

In the era of trashy daytime talk shows circa 1990's, I remember a guy named Montel Williams. My mom used to turn these shows on in the morning, and of course, paternity test shows were grist for the mill. I only have friends that play warhammer with me over table top sim, they live across the country and there isn't anyone local that i know to play with. So whenever i play i either play with my friends who play or i get someone looking for a game on the discord. I've played a lot of games with my friends but two of them more than others as they are also really into the game. They are a nightmare to play against. The moment anything goes wrong, they start getting snippy about everything. I never say anything about it as i just want to play the game myself so i'm fine with it, but it does suck the fun out at times. A good example is a battle i had with my buddy who plays tyranids. I was trying an ork list for the very first time. Had a bunch of boyz, some shootas up in a building, some trucks, basic list to try out their rules. I made a squad of the max size with my orc boyz and my buddy for some reason made squads of 10 with his gene stealers and stuff like that, so small groups vs large groups in melee. It went about as good as you would expect. He would attack and get a pretty big amount of dice, get some kills here and there. Nothing crazy. Then i would get a charge in with my giant stack of boyz. dozens of dice in one roll. Just a shotgun blast of attacks. Less than half of them hit but it didn't matter, enough would get through that it would wipe just about any unit they came into contact with because he didn't cut them down with shooting or get the first charge in on them. He was not pleased. He even ended up winning on a points basis, and still he was in a sour mood afterwards. Now i don't really play too often with them anymore, i do every so often but i try and get some random on the discord if i'm going to do a game these days. It's just a more pleasant experience overall.

The thing with the first story is that gunlines aren't fun to play against, of which Skaven are the worst. What makes it even more annoying is that they have access to so many options but Clan Skryre is like "Well we have guns".

The maid of honour not turning up for the wedding is pretty poor form in my opinion. The MoH is supposed to help out the bride throughout the day, she would have been written in to part of the ceremony and had her dress/meal drinks paid for ahead of time.
