I still remember Fantasia's interview with Oprah from years ago...and I just love how they have continued to foster their relationship. People say a lot of things about Oprah, but you can see that she really wants these women to strive and become successful and not deterred by what celebrity and excess wealth can bring into your life.

Taraji I am extremely proud of her and seriously dealing with mental health. The way she articulated for Fantasia to remember to come out Character when it's cut to tap back into your normality can cross barriers in your life if you don't quickly snap back to reality lol I'm so proud

It shows good casting. Supporting characters can get away with not looking alike as they don't have as much screen time, but the casting directors and producers need to be applauded for finding someone who looks very similar to Fantasia.

speaking of girls trip, imma need another movie, if not a sequel, something of that style, with them as this cast, and jennifer, in that order. Mama O could be the elder or some to keep the girls together, and the younger ones could be like sisters and cousins. I could see maybe Tasia and Danielle like twins, then Jenny could be like the older sister that’s close. like, I could see them as a trio.

The first Color Purple ...I saw a world, I never knew existed. This Color Purple I actually lived thru the same situations in all the roles of the women. I am here to say watching this The Color Purple....my self worth was confirmed to know that all my choices to stay and endure...was not all in vain. .My day came for freedom... mentally...most importantly. And love. Don't give up. Love yourself more. And even if you can't....find the strength....one day someone will come that God may send you to pull you thru... Happy Holidays to everyone. Yes. It was awesome that Taraji looked out for Fantasia in that way because she is not a very experienced actress, and some folks may take for granted the risk actors take to play certain roles. Some of them actually have major challenges breaking free from roles even well after filming, which can be very scary.
